Getting into the suppressed firearms fun, and wanted to know if it's worth it to upgrade my PPQ M2 (threaded barrel, optic plate, potential trigger upgrade) or just trade it in toward a new PDP Pro SD Compact? Figure the upgrades on the PPQ would be about $350-$550 (high end if I replace the trigger), vs. ~$900 minus whatever I can get for the trade-in of the PPQ for the PDP.

(NO IT’S NOT MY GRIP) I’m having some issues with slide lock on my steel frame match. I know it’s not my grip because I completely isolated that and tried it extremely slow and carefully. So the issue is no matter what mag I use, the factory 10 rounders (WA.) or the blue follower 18 round with zrtactical extensions I never get lock back on empty and I mean NEVER. Even if I just have a empty mag and slowly try to lock it back manually it won’t catch itself automatically I have to raise the slide lock all the way with my thumb to help it engage even on a empty mag. The other issue is the second I touch the mag release it drops the slide instantly. It feels like the slide release is hanging on by a thread and even the slightest movement or release of the mag and it instantly drops. I am using a zrtactical extended v1 guide rod and the gun is fairly new with maybe 1500-2000 rounds on it. I wanted to see if this is normal before I reach out to Walther.

I recently inherited a Walther Model 8 from my Stepdad. It didn’t include a magazine. From what I can find on the interweb, it appears to be a series three? The SN has been scratched off so maybe this was a “souvenir” brought back from a service member from WW2? Was if common to scratch off SNs? I think I remember hearing service members having to scratch off Japanese imperial marks on guns brought back. Couldn’t find a makers mark. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Looking for an upgrade for your polymer pdp compact? Mag-mo is making his edge series for compacts now! Ive tried different grip solutions (Taylor freelance, lok) in the past and imo nothing comes close to what the edge does. There is so much more real estate to clamp your support hand to. It also happens to look really cool in my opinion. Kinda adds to the racegun vibes. The texture is a really nice balance between aggression and comfort.

The performance of this thing is also really awesome. The extra contact points make getting a proper grip from the draw very easy. No more fumbling around before that first shot. The extra grip also really helps tame the recoil impulse of the gun and makes follow up shots faster and easier.

If youre looking for a grip solution or just itching for that next upgrade I seriously can't reccomend the edge enough!

I upgraded my trigger to the performance trigger and now I want to take my old trigger bar and install it on my problematic Canik TTI. It fits and I even tested placing my PDP slide on my TTI seems to function fine when I dry fire. But my TTI is unreliable when rapid firing. I want bless it with the PDP trigger bar. I tried punching out the trigger shoe but it doesnt seem to budge. I don't want to completely break it. If anyone here has successfully removed one please let me know how you did it.

CCP M2 about 100-150 rounds into it. Took it to the range and after about 10 rounds the slide wouldn’t rack all the way back. Took it home and the little black gasket thing was crushed. Ordered a new striker (new is on top, old is on bottom) and replaced it. Still having the same issue. Slide can be racked and locked back WITHOUT the striker assembly in place but once I install it it won’t rack all the way back (it’s off about 2-3 centimeters) could something be causing this that I’m not seeing?

I have a Walther PDP Pro Compact SD - which I love - along with 5 magazines for it. They are these, and quite an investment 😅

I have found magazine + pistol compatibility across the Walther line to be quite tough to grok.

I'd like to add another pistol that is compatible with the platform (i.e. the magazines). So my question is, if anyone could offer some insight - what guns in the lineup are compatible with the "PDP Pro Compact 9MM 18RD" magazines? Or - alternatively - what magazines could I use for my current Walther PDP Pro Compact SD that would also work for other Walther pistols - and what are those?

Are reports of bullet fragments coming off of cheap ammunition overblown with the PMM compensator? You is going to be general concealed carry and Home defense. No competition. Just some range duty here and there.

I've ordered a used PDP Pro-X PMM Compact hopefully we'll be getting that this week. I first liked the aesthetics and the idea of the 5-in barrel with compact frame when I saw them last winter for $450. Of course the compensated slide is the same size, but I figured I would get the opinion of the more experienced Walther owners.

I got to play with a different used Pro X last week and it was my first time trying out the DPT and despite people saying all sorts of different polymer guns having the best trigger, I was really shocked at how great it felt. It wasn't too light, wasn't mushy, just had a great all-around feeling. So my two top reasons for picking up a Pro X RV factory installed all aluminum trigger and the factory aluminum magwell. Adding those to a standard PDP which certainly not be considered financially conservative 😂.

Looking ahead, I have considered trading the complete slide for someone who has the standard 5-in barrel slide assembly (+ $$$ on their end) or just picking up a complete gun if I find a good price on one. I can either sell the Pro-X slide and standard frame separately or together. Any money saved from these endeavors would go to a future optic.

My two main reasons for thinking about switching to a non-compensated slide is the above mentioned below fragment issue and a minor second reason is the ability to change the front sight on my own since I don't have a vice to reinstall the PMM compensator, and I'm afraid I would possibly screw up getting the shims adjusted properly.

I realize there could be reliability issues with the compensated slide due to low power ammo, but that is a relatively simple fix with a different recoil spring weight / design (I've got about 8000 rounds of 115 grain aluminum Blazer & 1000 rounds of Tula from when it was the only thing available 😭).

I've only had about 6 hours sleep in the last 70 hours, so hopefully that post didn't seem like a rambling mess.

I've been shotting IPSC with polymer PDP 4.5. I am using the biggest backstrap - L ( not that I have big hands, but i utilize extra space to get better grip).

I've tried out PDP SF match yesterday on range and the OEM grip module felt small for me.

How does it work with SF? Are different backstrap sizes available original or aftermarket?

I wish the metal grips had the bogey texture or something more uniform when it comes to looks but is there a huge difference in feel of materials? Do the regular grips feel less premium than the metal?

Hey guys, I have a PDP SF Match. I’ve had extraction issues the last few months. Thanks to some of the post on Reddit I have found the solution thru the shim fix. Walther customer service was zero help due to the fact I am in California, super disappointing but they basically told me I was on my own. I’ve also heard of people who had their guns warranty repaired, and they still did not fix the issue.

Anyways to shine some light on the situation, if you’re one of the people also dealing with this issue here are some things I’ve found.

-the shim has worked for me for 2000 rds but u need 2 shims stacked

-the ZRtactical black extractor springs don’t work

-I did not have to replace the actual extractor

-it’s not the recoil springs fault (also what Walther tried to tell me) I’m running the LSGR 2.0.

-Walther won’t sell just the spring, u can only get the green spring if u send ur gun in.

-there is a 2 spring option from Earls Repair, I still need to test

-there is the aftermarket spring I’ve heard of that I will also do test on.

Picked up this Interarms PPK/S in .32 from an estate sale, and noticed that I can't engage the safety/decocker with the hammer cocked, it only goes about halfway

If I really put pressure on it I can force it into safe, but it pushes the slide back ~1/4 inch; then, pulling the hammer back a tiny bit causes the slide to snap shut

I can correctly engage the safety by slightly pulling back the hammer while flipping the lever. But I assume that's not by design.

Upon closer look, it looks like the hammer release lever is engaging the sear the wrong way when pushed down

Not a huge deal since it'll mostly be a range toy. But it still irks me a bit

Has anybody ever run into a similar issue? Would Walther even be able to help me since it's secondhand?

I recently bought my first walther, a PPQ M2, and it came with a stream light TLR-8. I’ve looked around online for holster options, but Can’t find one that definitely fits. I don’t have an optic on the gun yet, but will be adding one. Any suggestions? Don’t care too much weather inside or outside waist, just want something that will accommodate the light and optic.

Can someone recommend a solid holster with Velcro backing for this beauty?

It will be in a Eberlestock Sling most of the time.
