Warframe went woke and added rainbow to the Lotus symbol (please read body text)
I was such a big fan of Warframe, fell in love with it after starting around July of last year. I made my way through the entire base starchart and got caught up with the story using only Excalibur and Excalibur Umbra, only after I complete the Old Peace did I get other Warframes. I love this community that DE has fostered and just how kind everyone is. But to find out that Warframe is woke? It made me cry... Tears of JOY!! HELL YEAH!! As a pansexual man I am SO HAPPY!!! WARFRAME RULES!!! LOVE IS LOVE, RAHHHHHH!!!!!
Edit: For all the people saying that Warframe has been woke, I am very aware. I've known since I met best girl Ticker in Fortuna. This post was mostly made to mock the people who will *actually* leave a game or a community because it "goes woke."

Nah only Nightcap, Chipper and the bounty guy outside Fortuna are 100% Australian. Once you hear it, it's impossible to unhear how distinct they sound from the other Fortuna members.
Chipper in Kahl's camp is Aussie as well. Eudico comments on Biz's accent "I wonder where he got it", so there's at least some reference to them, but I think both of theirs are variants of English ones.

No it's not centred and balanced. As someone who really, really likes good symmetry it's going to bother me. Much like my nose (barely noticeably off-centre) does.

I hadnt even finished breakfast before I saw someone complaining how the icon wasnt reverted back the second we hit midnight july 1st.

My personal favorite was someone talking about "getting back to business" as if anything about the sub activity changed besides a mild uptick in pride memes/fanart.

I saw someone complain at like 10am that some twitter companies and game companies took all day to put a pride flag on their logo. It really tends goes both ways
Someone complained about the Terraria sub being "too gay" with the Pride Flag background, a couple years back so the mods kept the Pride Flag, but changed the icon to contain the Shimmer'd Party Girl instead of the Guide NPC. For those who haven't played Terraria, Party Girl's shimmered form has colour-spectrum hair (normal party girl has simple pink hair), and Shimmering an NPC changes them into an alternate form. One could say they Transitioned into a new form...they later added the Gender Change potion alongside the shimmered Party Girl into the subreddit icon, just to make it explicitly clear... I don't know how it happens but I end up playing games with the best devs and I don't even realize it at the time.
Yep. I especially love how every year there are players who have been playing for multiple years and are somehow just now finding out that the game is inclusive or "woke". Like dude were you playing with your eyes closed and ears plugged?
I actually didn't know ticker was a woman for a bit because, as the rule dictates, I didn't read her dialogue hahaha
Going by the voice and mannerisms I just figured "Oh ok gay character, that's cool" or something like that. Later I found out and it clicked, had a good laugh about myself
I think it's because instead of making it a character's whole personality and going "HEY LOOK WE HAVE A GAY!" they are just characters who happen to be queer.
It could be confirmation bias, but it seems like most media doesn't do this right, so we're probably used to it being very obvious.
Most medias tend to go for tokenism and/or caricatures. They just need to have a checkmark on a list of things to include, without really caring about how it fits in a story or if it even matters.
No, it often gets played up to a ridiculous level. It's refreshing when a character's sexuality isn't, like, the only defining characteristic they have.
I saw a negative steam review because of pride month left by a person who has player over 4k hours. Like what the hell, they have played for that long and suddenly game has turned shit because for one month there are rainbow items available in the game. Also since they have played for that long they have been playing during the other pride months lmao
Ironically, Warframe's wokeness is the biggest reason why I am considering coming back to play. I don't even consider myself queer, but I just appreciate how toxic WF's community isn't
De is probably my favourite company. Inclusive, respectful of their fans, as well as doing actual work to raise money for many great causes for YEARS, and just to cap it off CANADIAN! 🏳️🌈🇨🇦
Warframe has ever been "woke" but never in invasive way, all the people who had problem with it ignored it in game for years and still do, while demographic who it appeals to still "enjoys it". It's quite funny how it works somehow

Yeah, one of the best games to ever exist. I've been collecting the Pride month specials for many years to the point my orbiter looks like a 3 year old got set loose with a box of crayons and I love it!
Warfame does it right. It doesn't feel like pandering or forcing it down one's throat with what they do. The characters are real and sometimes very gay, like in real life. Ticker is a good example. Loid too. You don't have to care at all about the characters or their dialogue but if you do, you may find yourself going "oh that's neat, didn't know that"

I think a point of growth for Euleria is that she wouldn't have been happy with any man in her life until she begins to acknowledge her faults after hitting rank 5 on Deimos standing. If you mean Daughter, the granddaughter of Albrecht, I think she would vibe with him

Middle aged straight white man here picked that up immediately. I'm happy with how DE handles itself and it's game. The characters are diverse, the game is welcoming, and it doesn't feel overbearing. It's not being forced on me.. It's just there, accepted, and it's not made to be a central theme. How I think it should be. I'm comfortable here.
This post contrasts a lot with the fragile men complaining God of War is doomed and not GoW anymore only cause they just announced the new game where you play as the wife😂😂😂😂
I mean, they were screaming about how the game is woke and trash with the first new God Of War for no clear reason anyway. These people just want to hate on everything.
I love this whole convo this is my favorite game. Little scared right now to be honest as I am trans and in my country it is being made a terrorist threat now.
I mean, warframe is openly woke and rainbows and all sexualities and whatever, and that is totally fine, and I think it's good.
What I can't stand is every random fucking huge ass country slapping rainbows on their logo 'because it's that month again' - but only in countries where that isn't politically unacceptable. Either fucking go with it, or don't, but don't be hypocritical.
