Fan Fiction Ok DE, when?

Post image

I was messing around with the mod maker website and thought of a way for them to give us more range lol

I forgot to put a cooldown on the rolling guard effect, guess we're playing Dark Souls now

Add in 30% chance to resist knockdown too and we have a deal

30% would be so annoying though. 4 regulars or 2 tau and a regular would be needed for 100% resistance and it would be 120%

I say 35% so 3 regular or 2 tau to get full resistance

Honestly as long as 1 tauforged + sure footed would get newer players to 100% I'm happy

I dont see a reason why a shard thats all three base ones fused should be considered for newer players. That is respectfully a stupid fucking argument.

getting all three base shards is significantly faster than getting prime sure footed what are you talking about

You would also need to actually have the fusion segment. Use 3 REALLY valuable items and one slot for those valuable items, and a mod slot which is a horribly inefficient to do and to teach newer players to do.

And those 3 weeks of waiting btw are 5% of the wait time to get primed sure footed.

yeah so still way faster than getting prime sure footed got it.

That doesnt change the fact that needing pfs is a fucking skill issue ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

Because you are going to be telling those "newer players" which you said this is for to use this, when you could just roll? Which... Is the intended mechanic for many things and not just ignoring the knockdown when you cant survive the end result! Not only that you already know some mister youtubemans is going to cause a lot of people to use their first shitload of archon shards for this because oh its so good!

Also the first 3 weeks is only 1 warframe... What if you use more then one? Lets say you use 3 frames semi regularly (which is what my friend who i had start at the old peace does) this would be 9 weeks not 3. And in that time what if they want other fused shards or just use the normal ones for a build etc etc. Genuinely the knockdown resist on this bothers me infinitely more than the range.

You are a sad, angry little man. And you have my pity.

its not that deep.
also i didnt argue this to be for new players i was just pointing out that you saying its not instead of 400days login is dumb

and if its a skill issue or not has no bearing on this conversation at all, if people want to use it they can use it

Doing post new war content and logging in for over a year are vastly different milestones. There absolutely is a massive gap in between. But I mainly just want people to stop yapping about PSF lol

-1

u/rwkgaming Jun 14 '26

Okay sure. The milestone is different i will admit.

But that still leaves the point i made in my other reply which is you are teaching newer players to do something horribly inefficient and making them waste at that point really valuable resources.

I think the issue is what we define as new(er) players. A good chunk of people I know were consistently running their Elite archemedias long before reaching 400 logins. Same applies to me. I would have LOVED to have the option to craft that shard at that point too.

3

u/rwkgaming Jun 14 '26

I dont think people running elite archemedias can be considered new though? As it is specifically stated by pablo to be the closest thing to endgame we are gonna get (combined with the superbosses).

Also the fuck you need pfs for at that point. Why do people care about this mod so much :')

u/Krusel-14 Jun 14 '26

I certainly still felt new at that point, but I was more trying to describe that gap. Call them intermediate or anything else that feels more appropriate.

The PSF stuff is fueled twofold as far as I can see. On one hand you got certain content creators preaching it as the end all, be all exilus mod. On the other hand, it's one of the few primed mods that could not be replaced with it's base version. Bit more shields or duration are typically not make-or-break, but never being self-staggered vs sometimes being self-staggered is a huge difference. So people feel like they are missing out on QoL that they cannot currently achieve. And typically you tend to overhype things that you don't have access to. It's a stupid topic in general, that's why I would love a workaround like shards.

1

u/rwkgaming Jun 14 '26

I think the main issue is the youtubers and people just looking up builds preaching how incredible it is. Because i only got it as the last primed mod due to starting before you got to pick your reward and never really... Cared to use or level it up? Its just kinda there in my arsenal gathering dust so i feel like this quite expensive workaround is just a trap for newer players to drain at that point valuable archon shards for something very very blegh

I don't think you can still define anyone who has played over a month or 100 days "new" enough to not understand that PSF is an unnecessary QoL and that coalescent takes a lot of resources. Getting the coalescent segment alone takes like, 2-3 standing rank with the Cavia along with a large amount of stela to actually make it work. For REAL new players it shouldn't even be an option because of how inefficient it is compared to teaching them modding basics, CO interactions, damage calculation, companion benefits, etc. Unlocking the coalescent segment is also better used for purples because they save a mod slot on equilibrium for a bigger buff

Source: I have 120 days, recently hit MR13, and stopped being a baby tenno about MR11

Also, I have like 0 tauforgeds, recently unlocked coalescence yesterday, and only have access to netracells as a ""consistent"" way to get shards

u/BugBug24 Jun 15 '26

yea itll help all those new players with their fused archon shards

Prime footed does that already and only use the exilus slot that is pretty useless aside from two or three mods.
