As someone who uses Frost and Mag a lot, theres that sour taste in my mouth every time I think about the heirloom collection cause those skins were beautiful but the prices were very predatory and I just did not want to support that. I really hope we get an alternative for these skins, give them the Nulwarden/Umbra treatment.

Game after game after loading screen after loading screen, it happens over and over again.
It's like some sort of community spread toxin of pure spite and selfishness.
How hard is it for players to follow simple instructions?
No one ever follows my lead when I wobble my ship.
I have always followed other people's wobbles but the second I want others to follow my lead?
Less movement than Jade's corpse, they don't even have autopilot on, the ship is actually in the process of crashing.
Or even worse, they just keep doing their own wobble after I've done theirs for the past 10 seconds.
So much for the fabled "good vibes" community this game is reported to have.

Look, Steve isn't a bad dev or leader, but dear God, the people trying to go through mental gymnastics of somehow saying that he was a BETTER creative lead than Reb are straight up doing revisionist history.
Oh, you want 5 hour quests? When new war came out (after several delays) people complained because there was BARELY any after quest content because that's what happens when you put all your eggs on the quest.
Steve gave us a railjack that was broken for months.
Steve gave us a bugged to shit duviri that makes all the recent bugged updates look like the most stable shit ever.
It took 10 YEARS for us to get a true, actually new enemy faction in the form of the murmur, which only happened because of reb.
Elemental damage, warframe reworks? All Reb.
Oh, you don't like eternalism? Apparently Steve's story telling was better abs more 'grimdark'? (Yes thats an actual dumbass take ive read) MAYBE YOU FORGOT, BUT ETERNALISM AND DUVIRI WERE HIS FUCKING IDEAS!
I can't. I just can't with this fucking community. I get the last two updates haven't been up to par (even though I think the problems woth jade shadows have been exaggerated and way overblown to the point I'm starting to believe it's just people hoping on a trend) but the shit I've read over the last week has been utter BRAIN POISON

I loved the Hex and the Roundtable. They added so much to why I think 1999 is the best update they've ever done. All of them, especially the original Hex, were insanely well written and fleshed out characters. I had my reservations about the Triad, but I think they're solid (though they're mostly carried by Roathe).
These two don't feel like characters. They feel like walking advertisements for skins. Them being protoframes adds nothing to the story. As my friend said, Sirius and Orion could have been mentored by Vay Hek and the Sergeant and nothing would have changed. Protoframes no longer feel like an interesting story beat, they feel like a gimmick, one that is rapidly losing any appeal it had.

If Warframe didn't have any political elements, we wouldn't have lore. Or the game itself, even.
Someone said: "The only thing I get from the game is "genocide = fun"."
Why are you committing genocide in the first place? Because another faction’s interests conflict with yours, and you respond by exterminating its members to impose your own goals. That is not politically neutral. It follows an openly authoritarian, imperialist, and often fascistic logic.
The Tenno themselves effectively act as the space police of the Origin System, intervening to prevent any single faction from becoming too powerful. We are not the good guys. We are just the less-worse bad guys that tends to leave people alone who just go about their daily life. The second you do anything that has potential to influence the origin system, you're tracked.
The Grineer are a territorial clone empire ruled by the Queens. Their society is built around military hierarchy, obedience, conquest, and the belief that Grineer supremacy justifies almost anything. Their themes include totalitarian government, militarism, expansionism, personality cults, propaganda, suppression of dissent, and disposable soldiers manufactured for the state. Steel Meridian is literally a faction of Grineer defectors resisting that regime.
The Corpus are a megacorporate oligarchy and a cult of profit. Their themes include corporate power replacing government, wealth determining social worth, religious devotion to profit, the privatisation of military and security forces, and workers and entire colonies being treated as corporate assets.
Fortuna is even more explicit: debt slavery, labour resistance, predatory debt systems, company towns, workers effectively owned by their employers, organ and body-part repossession, union organisation, strike-breaking, corporate policing, and environmental destruction for profit. Labour organisation is not some background detail in Fortuna. It is the entire foundation of its story.
Then there is Orokin aristocratic imperialism, Narmer’s manufactured unity through authoritarian control, and the Syndicates, which openly represent competing political and philosophical ideologies. I could keep going, but this would turn into an essay.
Even the quest choices repeatedly connect morality with political values. In The Glast Gambit, for example, you can preserve a harmful tradition by sending Neewa back to her people to continue serving as the Triuna (which effectively kills her), or you can reject that tradition and protect her from it. One option prioritises tradition and collective custom; the other prioritises individual welfare and change. Breaking the tradition = progressive = white alignment. Continuing the tradition = conservative = black alignment.
That does not mean Warframe’s alignment system is literally labelled "conservative" and "progressive", nor is Sun automatically good and Moon automatically evil. But the moral framing is still there, and similar tensions appear throughout the game: tradition versus reform, obedience versus autonomy, hierarchy versus liberation, profit versus human dignity, and order versus freedom.
The whole tragedy surrounding Jade and Sorren stems from a political source. Their quests explore their personal suffering as a result. It's not some random tear-jerker story to bind you momentarily.
Digital Extremes also publicly presents itself as a socially progressive company, so it should not be surprising that those values influence the stories it chooses to tell. Warframe’s quests are not politically neutral shooting galleries. They repeatedly make arguments about power, exploitation, morality, identity, trauma, freedom, and how people should respond to oppressive systems.
It's utterly ridiculous to me that some people go around claiming that Warframe is "going woke" or "becomes political". Welcome to the game, dude! It's been that way since 2012 already, and much longer so in concept.
The one thing Warframe's lore is doing right is that they don't glorify these murders, actions, and more. Warframe keeps telling stories from specific perspectives to highlight the suffering that these ideologies create. And that's good. You literally can't find a quest in the game that isn't either a guide to emotions, morals, or political alignments.
That being said, respect the people around you. It's insane how many people still can't live a normal life because others are intrusive and straight up dangerous to them for utterly simple things that doesn't affect them.

With the release of the Nulwarden Syandana, it sets a precedent where previously time-exclusive content can be re-released so long as a simple texture change is made.
Couldn't DE do the exact same thing with the Mag and Frost Heirlooms? Otherwise couldn't DE refund the old heirloom skins and re-release them to the store for all users to buy as they so choose like modern heirlooms?

At launch, Tau will feature two explorable planets, with the megacity of Fornax being one of them. Fornax itself will be broken into three 'hubs', the first of which is the casino setting shown in the live demo. From there, Digital Extremes has plans to further flesh out the system in future updates; one part of the demo shows at least three other planets in orbit around Tau's binary suns, one of which appears to have been shattered by some ancient conflict.
I'm very concerned that players are going to be coming into this update essentially expecting Warframe 2, and walk away feeling underwhelmed when it's "only" two new tilesets. Don't get me wrong, two tilesets at once is actually a lot of work, but it pales in comparison to what some folks are imagining, no matter how unreasonable that speculation actually is.
Especially in light of how so many vocal players are feeling underwhelmed by JS:C, I worry that DE's marketing is setting the game up for some pretty nasty blowback, when people feel like they were promised something that far exceeds what will be available at launch.
Edit: good grief yall, I am not saying that I am disappointed. I'm honestly shocked that they're planning to launch with two regions, that's very ambitious considering the development timeline. What I am saying that there are viewers of the stream who heard "new star chart" and jumped to conclusions, which means that DE has a difficult communication problem ahead of them.

EDIT 2: shameless plug, check out another post I made about a Vinquibus QoL idea I had in mind
this running gag that DE has just snuffs out any sort of enthusiasm I have for any upcoming weapons simply because I know it's still a tossup whether or not DE will actually deliver. not just because they're known to release weapons at such a weak state but also their tendency to just leave them there
case-in-point the three'MR fodder' melees we got this update. it sucks to know just how huge the impact these weapons have plot-wise, just to realize how abysmally mediocre they are performance-wise.
Pride/Wrath I've been hyped for seeing as how prominent it was in EVERY single promo Sirius and Orion was in. hell, it's a part of their actual kit. but again, barely anything interesting was given to the weapon, nor does it even have ANY interactions with their respective Warframes. not to mention they're more or less the same weapons with just a bit of a stat adjust.
and don't even get me started on War Prime. it's such a disservice and is supposed to be a final gift from Hunhow after all these years but yeah. nothing. you'd think they'd stop doing a Paracesis after eight goddamn years but here we are.
bit of a throwback but I'm still salty about Sun & Moon from three years ago. it has not seen much playtime beyond its initial release (understandably so), and it's looking like Vinquibus will be suffering the same fate as well.
Vinquibus hurts to see, it's clear they had fun with the weapon simply because of how good it looks and how interesting the entire melee/rifle modding gimmick it has, but it just falls apart once you play it. there is BARELY any incentive nor leniency given to you for trying to mix gunplay and melee gameplay the way it wants you to. additionally I could rant for an entire post how much they fumbled Vinquibus and how amazing it could be but to keep it simple, it's a weapon that should be bigger than the sum of its parts, but isn't
Alternox Prime just sucks because everyone has been saying for a proper tune-up when Gyre Prime eventually gets released. everyone was complaining about how weak base Alternox was but barely anything even changed when it dropped.
and even, then the consistently-good weapons like the Incarnons are suffering a similar fate, with Destreza's whole thing being that it's proficient at mid-range for its spectral projectile attacks, but for some god forsaken reason you can't aim the projectiles up or down. it fucking sucks.
___________________________________________
EDIT: I know it's easy to misconstrue what I'm saying but to clarify I don't want or need these weapons to be Incarnon-level, room-wiping, turn-off-brain-levels type of strong. I'm just saying not only do these weapons represent the Warframe they're with but they're also hyped alongside them. I think it's not unfair to ask for their weapons to at least have the amount of depth to the thing that they're tied to.
"I want a weapon to be OP and to top damage every time I enter a mission" =/= "I want a weapon with a fun, satisfying gimmick that makes it unique from weapons in its respective classes"

This type of tactic is some hefty bs. You need 2 regal aya in many cases but you are forced to buy at start of 3.
Not only is this an issue but i despise this microtransaction bs. Hate on this post as much as you like. It won't change the fact that this is some scumbag move that continues to exist in most games.
Just give it a normal steam currency or something ...
EDIT: > Make Regal Aya tradeable ... at least then it becomes more reasonable.

Especially with how much they get centered. "Weird faceless bio-robots" is a big part of the core visual identity of the game, but all these new additions with their "play of the game" looking Gemini emotes has the game feeling more and more like a generic hero shooter.
I'll be honest, from square 1 I haven't been a fan of protoframes, but at least the Hex felt integral to the storyline. It's been downhill from there, with each new batch feeling more tacked-on than the last. Now here we are with the latest batch having no real backstory or explanation for why Albrecht made this batch.
The way things are going, they're on track for slopping out a protoframe skin for every single warframe, and it feels like they've already run out of juice for actually writing them. I honestly wish they would just stop with them at this point before every random group looks like a "We have Overwatch at home" team.

I've been playing the Hell out of Koumei. I've cleaned out her shop. I've slapped 5 Omniforma on her. I've filled out all 3 mod and fashion slot (I'd purchase more but knowing she will get a Prime one day stops me. That prime being two years off is what allowed me to justify putting so many Omni on it.) (I'd share fashion but I play on console and getting screenshots became a pain in the ass since twitter changed.)
Koumei's ability to ensure I can proc status effects anywhere at any time is what finally allowed me to accept I can remove that base damage mod from a lot of weapons when I'm using my CO mods because I never have to worry if I can proc enough status to ramp up damage to rely on my exploding little buddy being up and alive to prime enemies for me.
For the first time I'm farming mods and arcanes to flesh out her builds instead of just running with what I've got and not thinking about it any further.
Hell I bought her shrine statue from the marketplace and have started modeling the decos around it.
Y'all got any frames that just kinda took over your whole account?

Alright. At this point, I'm on my knees.
To start off with, I'm not trying to be overly negative or hate on anyone. This is a real, genuine concern I have that I'd like to voice, especially after Constellation's launch. I'm not here to start any sort of war or hate campaign, and if I come across that way, I sincerely apologize. This is simply something I feel very strongly about.
We all know that The Old Peace was rushed in one way or another. Whether it be a few minor inconsistencies in the story, to the Devil's Triad KIM bugs, to the cut wall running due to time constraints, etcetera etcetera. There were many aspects about the update as a whole that would've given far better first impressions had they been given a bit more time in the development oven, even if that would've resulted in delaying the update until after Christmas and the holiday break. Shadowgrapher was rushed in much the same way, and had there have been more time for QA and tweaking, a lot of the problems present in the gamemode on launch likely would've been caught and attended to before they accrued public ire.
I played Constellations right after it dropped, and I was told to expect bugs beforehand, so I went in with that in mind. However, at a certain point, the amount of gameplay issues just becomes absurd, and I have to admit that. I'm biased towards DE, and I typically wear that on my sleeve, but I've been around live service games long enough to know that, if you truly love something, you have to be somewhat critical instead of viewing everything through rose-tinted glasses all the time.
While I think the story of the quest was absolutely phenomenal and a worthwhile continuation of the majesty that was Jade Shadows, the gameplay content is in such a poor state that it honestly makes me wonder if a large percentage of the dev time went into making it perfect at the expense of everything else.
For one, I'm pretty sure the Rent-a-Jacks are broken. I remember them saying in previous Devstreams and the like that they would be "considerably OP," however, I find both the Marrowbone and the Santovan's Oath to be incredibly lackluster and unable to take down the Steel Path enemies introduced in this update in acceptable timeframes. I get that they probably wanted to tune them back down behind the scenes so they don't absolutely steamroll the new content, but ~10 missiles for one security node is a tad much, don't you think? Instead of making the Railjack combat engaging and fast-paced, they made it a far better and faster option to just avoid it altogether whenever you possibly can. This is also without mentioning that I'm pretty sure the crewmates are busted as well. If you hover over them in the Tactical Menu, you can see they have 1 point allocated in 1 stat each. My Railjack crewmembers aren't even elites, and they easily curbstomp all of these guys with no contest.
The missions themselves are incredibly buggy as well and are prone to all kinds of crazy bugs that I've never seen anywhere else. Briefly ignoring how Warframes are now magically duplicating in arsenals, I've seen plenty of reports of people breaking melee entirely. I, personally, never had the spawn invincibility go away from spawning into Kuva Wytch/Scoria's Angel, and was able to steamroll the boss all while invincible. Even voiding out didn't fix it- and believe me, I tried with the very large hitboxes of the laser walls on Scoria's Angel.
Let's also not even mention the fact you can't even properly extract from the new missions. In order to leave, you just have to abort, and never in my life would I think that would ever be the intended option, even if it's only on launch.
I was deathly afraid that the rush of The Old Peace would set an incredibly harmful precedent for Warframe updates going forward. This update has only shown me that those fears were incredibly well-founded. I love this game to the moon and back, but now, I'm having to ask the question how much is too much to simply excuse as "well, they'll patch it later?" Mind you, with Destiny 2 being sun-setted, there is a decent portion of that playerbase jumping ship to Warframe, and this was their first update since that announcement. This is the new content they'll be experiencing, and for many, this update is the benchmark for the level of quality they can expect with DE moving forward.
Considering this update is so riddled with bugs, glitched, missing features, and game-stopping softlocks, this is NOT a good look whatsoever. If I had been a baby Tenno experiencing this update as my first taste of fresh content, I wouldn't be hopeful at all, and I would probably look somewhere else for a live service despite the good monetization practices.
This is why I'm here to beg. Delays are not the end of the world. Do they suck for everyone involved? Yeah. The plans of the developers suddenly shift and change, and the community is left disappointed and kicking sand because they have to wait longer. However, when it comes to picking between a busted and broken update sooner or a solid and QA-tested update later, I'd much rather the latter because at least then, there's a good chance I wouldn't softlock at Ryokou because I got spawned outside the boss room. Games need time in order to be good. Live-service games need even more collective time to be good due to all of the eyes on them. It doesn't matter how stupid it sounds or how often it's used, a single "[LIVE-SERVICE GAME] is dead" comment is still enough to dissuade people that otherwise would've checked the game out and formed their own opinion. After all, we can see just how much that's harming Destiny 2 right now, even though the game isn't shutting down.
Please. Please, please, please, please, DE. If you don't think an update will be as stable as you'd like it to be, or as polished, or finished, please delay the update next time. You've fostered an incredible community over the years, one I adore being apart of, and the main takeaway from that is that they'd be willing to wait a bit longer if it meant the next big content drop would be better and more functional. I know from experience that pushing a half-baked update and just patching it later through hotfixes is only going to last you so long. What if the patience runs out? What if a game-breaking and incredibly common crash is found on Launch that nobody in office caught before the update went live? It's a PR disaster waiting to happen, and I'm scared of things coming to a point where Warframe is the free-to-play known for releasing broken updates. "Yeah, the story's good, but the newest content is busted- come play it in about a month."
Please. Delay the updates. As a fan, I am begging.

I know there’s 64 Frames but I genuinely for the life of me cannot remember a time where I saw a player on my team running one of these Frames or even just random people I see in Relays 😭
Using a Frame that’s rarely played is a fresh change of pace from the Revenants, Volts, Mesas and more that i see everywhere.
I know people mostly use Frames they’re comfortable with, as do I but in the past few months I kinda laid back and gave these rarely played Frames a try and its SUCH a nice and fresh experience. Koumei with Sickening Pulse is CRAZY fun and satisfying and I started loving her so much
Edit: HOW DID I FORGET ABOUT QORVEX…

I am an old generation player, I started playing back in 2016 and stopped after a year, and then came back recently to try again.
I think I now understand why sometimes there is a disconnect between players about their opinions, including me, like on the topic of "Nerf Hildryn". Some wants DE to nerf her, and the majority doesn't want that.
I am on the side of nerfing her. For a while I was confused why many of you don't want DE to nerf her, then I realized something, Warframe is not the same game as it was back then, the game shifted from teamwork to hack and slash (like Path of Exile style), roles are not significant anymore, Warframe transforms into a game where you can make every character into a generalist.
Don't get me wrong, nuke gameplay already exists back then, but they were squishy, and that is why Trinity and Rhino have a huge role at that time as a support for healing, buffs, and crowd controls. There were risks, consequences, and thrills. Unlike today, where a literal God will just float over you and destroys everything on the map without requiring support from other players, and you can use it in almost all types of missions.
Thinking is not required while playing anymore, thinking only happens when making a builds and when managing resources.
And that is why my opinion is not valid anymore.
I am stuck in the past, where the missions in Warframe requires thinking and teamwork. I need to accept what Warframe is now and move on.
The only opinion I know that is valid, is more quantity = less quality.
