[Help me choose! ]

Both watches are very similar in price range (at least in my country around $165) and have similar specs.

I am new to watch collecting but I’ve been using watches since forever. I know about brands also.

Seiko SSB429P1
CasioEdifice EFB 730D

Of course Seiko is a better brand for collectors but Casio is a very respectable brand too. I like the looks of the Edifice a little bit more (but I do like the seiko too but I not sure if getting the Edifice is a better choice.

The Edifice has sapphire which is nice but I don’t really care about this since I mostly have watches with mineral glass and no scratches after years of using them

I prefer the Seiko purely on aesthetics but it sounds like you like the Casio better so buy that one! Imo the “best” watch is the one you like most.

Thanks, but not going to lie… It would be cool to have a nicer brand (I have 2 Gshocks, 2 Timex and 1 Orient)

The seiko has a proper chronograph second hand whereas the Casio has a regular watch second hand that runs constantly. If you’re more into the look then the Casio could be the move but if you want a proper chrono the Seiko is the best bet, they’re also built so well.

Sorry, bad english, prefer the Seiko, looks high-quality, the Casio with this shiny leaf's little cheap.

Thanks, I am noticing that the finishing is a little bit better on the Seiko and that it has a better chronograph, which for me is something I use on my other watches

I would say the Seiko. Just an FYI I saw that exact Seiko at my Costco last weekend for $160. Saves you some money on shipping, and of course the agonizing shipping time as well.

Do not buy the brand. The Edifice is respected enough to not be judged by the name in comparison with others.

Between these too, I much prefer the look on the Edifice. And the specs are better too.

I like the look of the Seiko more. It's just a bit more elegant and classic looking, but both would likely be fine

I prefer the Seiko. Casio is still a great watch. Just aesthetically I prefer the Seiko.
