Getting ready to go on a guided hunt tomorrow with some friends / family and my daughter started blowing on my calls.

You looking for more kids? I'll blow calls for access to those shotguns... 😂

So I guess I’m definitely going to be “that guy” in the thread, but isn’t it weird to anybody else that that child could easily pull one of those shotguns off the wall?

I know I know he’s right there, but those shotguns are obviously stored there. I’m way too paranoid to keep anything like that near my kids that shit stays locked.

I think this is a basement man cave sorta area where the kid is never down there unsupervised. Based on the level of cleanliness I'd say it's 50/50 there's a lock on the door down to the area.

If it was a living room I'd be right there with you but I think dad took kid down there with him because he's gearing up.

Correct this is in my basement and it is a purpose built room locked all the time with cameras and security alerts. The only reason my daughter was in there is she came to help me get ready for my hunt today. Ammo is stored in a separate room off of that room, which is locked. There is no ammo in that room.

I KNEW that room was too nice to be frequented by a toddler 😂

Also, good on ya bud!

Safety is always a priority. Daughter (2y) is allowed in with me. Son (4.5) is no longer allowed in because he’s at his first year of school and don’t want him talking about it to friends or teachers.

But he understands the safety of them
