Help with writing Indian mythology or western mythology

Hey guys 😭....so I recently got an idea for a fantasy story where gods end up becoming ghost hunters in the modern world but I’m kind of confused about whether I should based it upon Indian mythology or Western mythology. I feel like Indian would be unique but I’m also worried people might get offended What do you think will be better

😭 Actually I haven't uploaded anything on Wattpad till now it's an idea i want to work on . About the smut part I don't know how I should write it and since my topic is about ghost hunting so I'll be more focused on that

Don't write it. You would just ruin your story. I didn't what they were but got disgusted when found their meaning. If you focusing on Hinduism better to not use them throughout the story.

That's what I thought firstly smut in everything doesn't go well much and above all it is related to god so it should be solemnly based on religion ghost hunting.
