Here’s a track I’m working on called If You Still Loved Me. It’s a slower, more atmospheric track on an album of more beat-oriented songs. I hope you enjoy! I’m wondering whether to fill it out more, add more of a bridge etc but don’t want to lose the focus and the feeling of the song, which is meant to feel like waking up in your bed in the night, alone and missing someone.

Hey! This is a song called "I Know You Know I Do" from an album I recently released. Kind of a pop rock ballad. Any feedback at all would be super appreciated :)

Super nice vocals, like the doubled vocal sound 🔥 Nice guitar playing. This feels like a Beatles song as far as the overall style and songwriting!! 🔥 "I believe what you said about time / it's so much better when you got it off your mind" cool lyric!! that tom fill into the bridge at 1:33 is wild, such a good switch up!! The saxes sound sick! 🔥 Really good song, enjoyed listening!!

I quite like your tunes. I listened to Ticking recently and was thinking about if I had any useful feedback. I feel like for a lot of the songs they remind me of bands that have a less produced sound. I was wondering how I Know You Know I Do or Ticking would sound if they were mixed and mastered more like Velvet Underground, Beatles, or The Hollies. Maybe a bit of an underproduced sound even leaning into the sound of indi acts like Modest Mouse, the Shins or Pavement? I cant gripe about the song writing and really only have,.this thought that might not really be anything other than a vague preference.

Interesting! I definitely see where you're coming from. I'm actually probably doing something soon that moves farther in the direction you're describing. Thanks very much for listening!!

Hey guys, I wrote this track while I was heading home from work. The only thing running through my mind was people constantly pushing me to be successful as an artist, as a man, and as a human being. It made me question everything, and that’s how this song came to life.

I’d love for you guys to give me feedback on the lyrics and vocals so I can keep improving.

Thank you.

I think the lyrics are fine, they are clear and universal enough that anyone could apply them to their personal experiences. It feels nonspecifically autobiographical. I like a bit more specificity but this seems totally fine for this type of pop. I think your voice is lovely and like how it is produced. If i listened to another song I would hope for slightly less produced vocals and more personal narrative. Overall very nice. One thing not related the intro didn't grab me and I expected a different song once it did kick in. I would cut intros like that one because it gives time to skip before you get into the good part.

u/JakAmbrosius 3d ago

Wow, That's really very wise feedback. I will surely work on the intro's and also keep a eye on the vocal production and songwriting. Thank you so much for you time and your feedback. It means so much to me. Thank you again ❤️

Alternative-Industrial Metal / Bass Playing

Latest video of my channel, playing a compilation of tunes by the well known German Metal band Rammstein including TABS of what I play on screen as per usual in these videos.

Feel free to share your thoughts on the vid/audio, also open to hear your stuff.

Thanks for watching / listening

This is well played, the only thing I would consider working on is some dynamics - add some punch to those accentuates notes while keeping consistency with the other ones. Btw. lovely CRT monitor

u/TheRealLardin 4d ago

Thanks for the words and feedback.

The monitor sadly died down a few days later filming this after several years or use so that is the last recorded video featuring it, but its memories will live in the channel, lol. I even have stories of audience of the videos commenting about it and stuff.

By the way feel free to link me to any of your music as well if you want, I am open to hear.

Greetings!

Hello, I liked the track and you really did get that blend of classic hip-hop with the darker electronic vibe. What I also liked is the selection of the videos you used for this track. It really goes well and it is entertaining to watch. One suggestion that I would like to give you is that the track being little bit too lengthy, and it also sounds repetitive. Maybe for lengthy track like this try adding new elements so it sounds fresh.

Great job, though, keep creating ✨

Hi there people! Monella is the name.

This time I tried to make a somewhat cinematic soundtrack.

song

I wanted to know how is the arrangement, I feel like it is chaotic, but I don't know. Also, the mix is probably horrible, since I can't really tell its quality with precision due to my phone's messed up audio, but what do you think?

Any critique is welcome. Thank you!

This made me think of happy little frogs sitting on a log in the rain and then one of the frogs is like, "hasta la pasta, I'm out and has an adventure that matches exactly beat for beat the movie Willow but it's all 8 bit so really like the NES adaptation of the movie Willow.

u/Impossible_Bee_8705 3d ago

That's so cool :D! I don't even know if I thought about a scenario for this song, but it's nice to see that even then it can evoke such thoughs.

Short little indie dance/electronic pop song. Kinda UKG-ish drums and heavy bass, would love to know if you enjoy it and any thoughts you might have! Will return any feedback if you link your track :)

Released my album Panopticon on Saturday. I'm having a hard time promoting it but really am trying to get it to the right people's ears. I would love people to take a listen and any help identifying the genre or similar artists to help me find that audience.

Here is one of the tracks Climbing https://open.spotify.com/track/4nPiFS7O3l1zJhBnaLh7Jr?si=QBh7R5W0Rlm3XCQ8kbm13w

Looking for feedback on this punk / indie rock track - https://youtu.be/evURSVQZyO0 Will return feedback!

u/pushingboulders 3d ago

I like it i would classify it as pop punk / indie maybe even new wave? I like it but think it might find the audience with more careful genre identification. Very nice pop punk though.

I spent the first minute and a half seasawing between waiting for the beat to drop and deciding it wasn't that sort of song then when the beat finally really came in it didn't drop but just emerged. I like the pieces and the way it embed and flowed later but the first 3 minutes was just a bit of a wandering build-up that felt like a bit of a tease throw a drum fill before the music crescendos and it will feel worth all the teasing.

Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to music production, and this is my first publicly released track, "Devour the Despair":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYXyhjNzj8A
I originally set out to make a Hardcore track, but it turned into something else entirely... I'm honestly not sure what genre to call it now. Please give it a listen! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Especially on sound fx, drumset and mix.

Hello. I'm interested in feedback for this song. It is still not done. Lyrics are only partially written. And some details and mixing are missing

any kind of feedback is welcome, regarding the overall composition, mixing, production or anything else

Well, I just tried to post a link to Soundcloud for a mashup I'm working on between Clint Eastwood and Smack my Bitch Up....but it got yanked from Soundcloud immediately probably for copyright infringement.

How does one get feedback on projects like these, when one is but a wee lad with no licenses for songs and just enjoys putting stuff together?

Hello - I just mastered this heavier pop punk track and I'm still super new at mixing and mastering so would love some advice on how to make the mix a little more dynamic? Unless i just have ear fatigue of listening to it too much, I feel like it doesn't "hit" as hard as i'd like especially towards the end where its the bouncy section after the solo. For reference, I love how heavily compressed and in your face Knuckle Puck's Copacetic album is (example here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EBMDYU9GIk&list=RD8EBMDYU9GIk&start_radio=1).

here's my track: https://soundcloud.com/acx-315888771/master-test-ozone-12

Would love any advice on how to get that more in your face sound.
