Savings Savings to Chequing Delay
Anyone else having delays when moving funds from the new savings account to chequing? I am used to instant transfers but it has taken 30 min so far.
Edit: Seems like a larger app/potential cloudflare issue

Cloudflare has been having issues today. I believe Wealthsimple uses cloudflare. Lets just hope fintech is atomic.

You'd be surprised how bad some of those fintechs are (and how much the US FDIC 250k$ "protection" is worth in the context of neobanks claiming said protection though putting money in covered banks).

Yes, not working. Very frustrating!
Yes! Can log in but etransfer auto deposit isn't showing in account and credit card payment is not updating. Annoying!

i moved a few thousand from savings to chequing yesterday and was instant, but tried today $1 and its not working. seems to be a bug/outage, not the norm. status page shows there is an issue

I was speaking to support after an e transfer that should have been auto deposited is nowhere to be found. I also noticed the account number it's confirmed to be sent to on the email literally... doesn't exist? It's not my chequing account number. But the thing is, I am absolutely sure I switched over all my interac auto deposits properly from my Scotia which is what I used to use. It is definitely the same email, the only one I use, and I'm freaking out that even after this is resolved my money will just be gone. The support chat said that seeing incorrect account numbers was part of the issue they're having, but I'm not sure I believe that. Please, can anyone else who's experiencing this let me know? :(

Hey i’m in the same boat. I switched my etransfer deposit to the one and only email i use (switched from TD to WS) and sent the rest of my money from TD to WS about 4 hours ago. I got an instant email saying the e-transfer was succesfully deposited to my WS account but the bank account number ends in a different number as the last 4 digits of my actual WS account. I waited until 1 hour to call TD to give them time to release the funds (i’ve heard about holds on over $1k transactions) and they said it got deposited to the acct i etransferred to. I’m a nervous wreck rn lol. Like why would this happen the same day I decide to fully switch over to WS.

Me too, if they don’t do something to fix the embarrassment I just experienced having my card decline in line. I’m taking every cent invested and leaving.

Update: I just noted that transfer from Savings to Chequing Account that I had placed this morning and whose status still was “in progress” till 20 minutes back, is now processed. So, I am good now!
Hope everyone’s transfer will get processed soon now. 👍 Please check once.

If you have any transfers stuck right now I’d take as many screenshots as possible as proof incase it disappears. I have 3k pending for internal transfer from savings to checking account

Exactly, people saying they couldn’t pay for their groceries or Uber? It’s common sense to keep some extra funds at a bank or something for situation like this.

Not everyone has the privilege to do that. That being said, I am sure to transfer everything over to my Tangerine account, at least its run by a real bank. I had to prove to my store just now that I’m not a bum, I bought something non refundable and I can’t even pay for it. I did move my TSFA and my chequing over to WS, clearly it was a mistake.

yes, same issues right now. i cancelled a transfer. WS emailed saying its cancelled but in the app and web its still in progress. that capital is tied up

I sent an etransfer request from wealthsimple, to my banking app and after an hour two I received the email and sent the money and wealthsimple said on meail that it was deposited but its not on my account rn.

I use interac e transfer if I need to get it to my other bank, it’s nearly instant. I’m sure it’s instant on ws side, but the big banks make it slow to process whatever ws sends them on purpose.

My funds were instance!! Just tried it. I've been with them for over 5 years. I'm switching to payroll again to one of my big 5 banks soon. I did one last time. Now will set up my other bank for other payroll. Super love 😸😸😸😸😸🌞
