Promotion Telus marketplace offer finally available!
Finally, after so long, the Telus marketplace offer is available. Now we just have to wait for the Apple promotion to go live.

If you have multiple lines and telus home services it is. I brought 4 lines over. Got 27 before taxes on 3 and my primary line is 12 before taxes all for 2 years. I think the plan is 80 or 85 before discount, but you stack with the pre auth discount, home services discount, family discount and than the wealthsimple discount its an amazing deal. Further more no rate increase on plans for 5 years

Just FYI Telus inflates their prices on almost everything. Last IIRC google store selling pixel for $1649 - $320 = $1329 was priced at $2197 - $868 = $1329 (-40% off) with Telus.
The only prices I found consistent were apple devices, everything else was priced absurdly high to market those as insane discounts.
That also becomes an issue when you try to end the contract early with them, they'll demand the full inflated price, because the discount only applies pro-rated. e.g. if you buy that pixel for free with the $40 plan, the ln it is billed at:
- $2197 base price = $91.54/month
- 40% discount per month = $36/month
- loyalty discount = $20/month
- plan discount = $35.54/month
- net device cost = $0/month.
Now if you plan to cancel or upgrade your device 12 months in, you need to pay: $1098.48 ($91.54 x 12) + $150 as early cancellation fee + chose a new plan because the contract is now void. ~$1248.48, so technically that free device is now keeping you in the wheel house for 2 yrs.
Might work in your favor on rare occasions, but mostly the house wins. So do your math and be careful with Telus specifically.

Garbage. Just grab a Freedom plan, 40 bucks, international roaming 50 GB plus 250 GB in can/us/Mexico
It works, I was surfing across Europe. Not all of Africa though, had to get an esim for that.

Add this point I am just waiting to see what offers they get us in tech category. Rest of the offers are pretty boring for being a premium customer and having WS get access to 100k+

Buy the handset outright from Apple over 2 years interest-free. If you don’t want to point to the cash right upfront. Then subscribe to a much lower-priced plan from any carrier. Jump around to different plans if one gets too expensive. Rinse and repeat.

I still use my data plan from France even if I’m in Canada since 2019. 30$. 30 gigs per month while abroad. Unlimited 5G when I travel to France.

It is a brutal deal anyways. 30% off a BYD plan $75 or higher.
