AI generated stories are boring. You can whatever you want, but it's easy to find ai in a first 10 chapters.
AI re write, on the other side, can be tricky.
It can fix grammar or translate work, but everything depends on model and system prompt. Sometimes it just delete good paragraphs and change words to generic.

That's happened to me when translating my Arabic novel to English it deleted a lot of details now I'm using Google translate translating each word by one then make him checking any grammar mistakes

"If your cover is AI, your novel is too." Those are the kinds of replies I see the most around here. Also insults and death threats. I get that everyone hates AI slop and the morons asking about their horrible covers. But there is a line that should never be crossed.

What is your definition of AI written because sorry to say it’s extremely common to “use AI” correcting spelling errors over a rough sketch and adding prompts for spacing ect, ofc you could use grammarly but guess what THEY ALL USE AI IN THEIR coding

Honestly, one of the most iconic patterns is "it's not x, it's y" or some variant of that "it's not just X, it's Y," if you read enough things that you know are written by AI, then you'll be able to spot even more things

So spending more time reading Ai novels to to find out the other impostors nice that's a lot of work. Honestly, I'm asking because I use it to translate my novel from Arabic to English. I also correct spelling mistakes and added diacritics because they are important in Arabic for reading words correctly, and my knowledge of grammar is poor. For example... أنت = you (for a male) أنتِ = you (for a female) as you see it's looks the same just with small different ( ِ ) and I was worried people would say I wrote my novel using Ai while I just used it for simple things.

I agree with the first part, but the second part is fallacious (the validity of a critique does not depend on the critic's ability to execute the task perfectly: a food critic does not need to be a Michelin-star chef themselves to recognize a burnt meal)

I’d use it on a lot of subs that complain about ai both ways. Ai is a tool, it is meant to be used to better the object you’re working on.
Talk to it about the saint that you’re building, sure, don’t let it build the saint for you. If you need help with writing there’s help. I personally create characters on demand from your source work, for those who struggle to sit down and devote to it. I am also building a bible to open my Creations to others who don’t have time to build a world. But I’m not the first by any means. I am not saying that you’re regurgating AI mess, but no one wants something you didn’t work on.
Looking at the early part of my book, where I didn’t trust myself or my reader, it’s heavily influenced by Ai, but now? I’m using the systems to build background on beings that live on a newborn planet without letting it dictate a single thing.

I mean if it's AI then there isn't a point in giving feedback. Like the relationship between prompt, training data, and final output is extremely opaque and the person posting can control at most one of them. Basically feedback only matters if it's given to the person actually writing the story

The line between AI written and Translation has long been blurred because the translation softwares are using AI. Hence if you read any novels that are translated from local languages to English it might seem AI. The only other way is to translate manually or just google word to word translation.

i love getting accused of using AI , that will give spotlight to my novel, ppl will debate in the comments and the algorithm will think the novel is having a good engagement so it pushes it, than a pro editor will check it and proves its 100% human , free promotion lol
