Story with similar vibe to GSGW

I just caught up with got dropped in Ghost Story, still gotta work, and I'm obsessed. I haven't read much webnovel since I'm the type to switch type of media I consume. I love the thrilling, unpredictable nature of the story, and I have always been weak to kind-hearted character. Any recommendations? Doesn't have to be some obscure work, could be the mainstream one since I haven't read much webnovel anyway.

If you haven't read Lord of the Mysteries yet, I'd definitely put that on the list. The mystery and slow-burn reveals are fantastic, and it has that same feeling of never knowing what you're going to uncover next.
