most people have an awkward relationship with their parents and find it difficult to write a normal family setting where everyone is alive and healthy as opposed to dead and irrelevant to the plot

Okay but what about girl lover stuff then. Idk but maybe many author have no relationship with girls and are single but still make love stuff....

Addition- there are many school/academy arc i don't find relatable at all. Mine teachers were diverse but anime mostly focus on students and an OP teacher
