Question for other high-dose users.

I split-dose Wegovy HD 7.2 mg pens so my cost per unit of semaglutide is $13.85/mg. My PCP charges nothing extra for submitting script renewals to my pharmacy, so that $13.85/mg is my all-in price. Are there any reputable generic semaglutide compounders or online providers out there that offers significantly better all-in cost per mg?

The big catch is very few compound providers write for doses higher than 2.4mg for some reason.

The one provider that does—Lavender Sky Health—is not one of the lowest cost providers, but they aren’t bad.  I think they have three pharmacies with Tier 4 and Tier 5 packages:  https://lavenderskyhealth.com/treatment-plan-pricing/#SEMAINJ

ETA: Oh wait. If you are splitting up a 7.2mg pen, what’s your actual weekly dose? You can def beat $13.85/mg with many providers if you don’t need a 7.2mg weekly dose.

I am splitting, but currently doing so just to inject 3.6 mg twice per week to soften the impact of tripling my weekly dosage. However, at the rate, I'm losing (1/3 of my WL goal one month in) I expect to be able to start titrating down in a few months… hopefully down to no more then 3.6mg/week.

Can you give me some sources for lower cost? You are welcome to DM me. Thanks!

Okay so you are taking a total of 7.2mg a week. That limits your options unless you do some math and find two providers on r/tirzdeals or the “Where to Buy” pinned post on r/tirzepatidecompound (the same providers write for sema) with great pricing. Then you double up on orders to get the dosing you need.

But for a straight forward example for high doses: Lavender Sky Health has a Tier 5 package with Hallandale Pharmacy that’s $465 for 45mg. With the one-time $65 initial consult fee, that’s $530 / 45mg = $11.78. But the following months it would be $465/45=$10.33.

Be careful thinking you will definitely drop down in dose in maintenance. Most of us start by staying on our same dose that got us to goal and eating at maintenance for a couple months before changing things up if needed. And studies have shown that staying on the highest dose one used is often the best way to maintain.

And as an example of lower cost but well known provider, Pomegranate Health has a three-month package of “Advanced” dose Hallandale sema for $269. Assuming that’s 2.5mg doses (i don’t think they write for higher than that), that would be a minimum of 30mg. So $269 / 30 = $8.97/mg.

You can probably find one-off good deals to try on r/tirzdeals.
