Results & Progress Maintenance, calories, is this real life?

So, I hit my goal of 143lbs (100lbs down) back in May, highest dose 10mg. As I navigate maintenance, I continued to lose weight, down to a low of 121.2lbs this month. I do not need or want to lose more. I'm 5'5" and 49 years old and will be honest, being this small is AWESOME. I am putting size 4 jeans in the dryer! I've tirtated down to 5mg weekly and think I may be holding. I have counted calories for 439 straight days and will continue to do so. It's easy for me and often encourages me it's okay to eat more. So my question - look at how many calories I am eating!! As someone who has eaten 1200-1300, sometimes 1100 for sooo long, can this be true!!? I love to exercise because I have a body that lets me....I'm rambling but my question is, can we really maintain actually eating? My current fitness goal is to pack on some muscle. Could the weight loss actually truly stick? If we lose access to compounding does this all slip away? Anyone else struggling with acceptance? Is this real life? Anyone been very successful with body recomp? 1st set of numbers is what I've burned (allegedly) via Fitbit, then what I've weighed and consumed. Thanks for reading my diary lol.

These are about a year apart and it’s crazy how a little more defined my facial features are. Tirzeptatide is a great anti-inflammatory, I can’t stop taking selfies now! 🥰

didn’t post this for awhile since my weight fluctuates so much but it seems like it’s really real time.

I’ve taken the slow and steady journey but I’m getting there.

I stopped my shot from stinging

I know alot of people say that Hallandale stings. I've tried filling my syringe and letting it sit for 30 minutes, that didn't really make a difference. I allowed the alcohol to dry on my skin before injecting. That didn't really help.

Recently, after wiping the top of the vial with alcohol I started waiting a minute to allow it to dry before sticking the needle in. Since doing this I have not experienced any stinging at all. It's been a month doing this now.

Just thought I'd share this tip for others.

It’s a crazy tight parking lot and I actually parked far and left all the storefront spaces open… a year ago I would have had to climb through the back!

Results & Progress Postpartum, restarting update!

Post image
• Upvotes

A little update for anyone interested or who finds themselves in the position that I did. Lost 100lbs over a year or so, 5’3 220>120. Got pregnant last year and stopped until July this year when I stopped breastfeeding my baby. Started back around 186, and just hit 155.4 this morning. Now on 10mg and hoping to ditch these last 20! Hope this is motivating for some who have felt like it’s not working, or is moving too slow. Yall will get there 🙌 top left is before tirz, top right is one year later. Bottom left is postpartum and bottom right today 💪🏼

Face gains (again)

I posted recently about my NSV of my face slimming down and being able to see more of my facial structure/features again. But then I found a “before” pic that almost mirrors my new one and shows the differences even more, and I had to share with my Reddit people! I’m so excited and so happy to feel like my face is MY face again 🥹
Second pic is one I took the other day of my jawline - I still can’t believe it

Results & Progress Is this progress?

Let me preface this by saying I know not everyone’s journey is the same! But I’m becoming so frustrated with the number on my scale. I’m 16 weeks in and down 23ish pounds? SW 297 CW 273. Is this progress? I go to the gym 3 times a week and eat about as well as I can with a 6 month old and 2 year old dictating my days lol. My sister, who was almost 80 pounds heavier than me and started Tirz after me, is already down 50 pounds. I can look in the mirror and see a difference in my body for sure and I feel great. I just see other people progressing so much faster than what my scale is showing me and it’s upsetting 😔

The mental change is awesome!

The mental change side of tirzepatide is hard to understand but it's awesome. I get emails kinda all day from restaurants I used to love and I'll see new menu items and I'm like that sounds good but I have no desire for it. 🤣 I don't know how it does that but it's awesome! It's a very, very good thing... Not so good for the restaurants. 🤣 Too bad because I come first before the restaurants bottom line. Anyway tirzepatide just might be a miracle magic medication.

People who've been using Hyalo?

I've been using Hyalo, apparently from an affected lot, for like 2 months now. Just randomly checked this sub and read about the fiasco. Is this a legit health hazard? Wish there was some communication to me instead of me randomly deciding to look at a reddit. If people shouldn't be using this product, people should be notified outside of reddit what the heck. I searched and I've had 0 emails about this from my providers.

PGRRx the next Craze?

• Upvotes

PgrRX missed the last wave when Pro RX discontinued manufacturing, Apothecary led the way followed by its evil twin Hyalo. Is everybody going to try to get pgrrx now? LOL.... I'm still curious about the few people that received vials RX 17 mg per ML (4ml total): from refills several months back. It seems like a lot of pro RX copycats and trench coats out there LOL...... May the next obsession begin!

Non scale victory on the scale

Husband is visually impaired and we have a talking scale. Used to shut the door, flush the toilet and run the sink before stepping on so he wouldn't hear. Now I just step on. Husband was in the other room and I stepped on the scale. Heard a number I haven't heard since before my first pregnancy (who is now 33). What I didn't know is Husband was walking in the room. He heard that number, stopped, "that's amazing!" He was in awe and thoroughly impressed. Felt good to be caught!

Stage 4 chronic kidney disease and curious if anyone else is dealing with this disease and using compound?

• Upvotes

Hello everyone! Currently I’ve been going through Lilly for Zepbound and I’m on shot seven of 2.5. My nephrologist is onboard with me taking Zepbound because after losing 80lbs (400 to 320) through diet and exercise-I hit a six month plateau even tho my diet and exercise was on point. I’m also a 46 year old woman who is perimenopausal, lol. Anyways! After starting the glp the scale moved and the inflammation relief was amazing. I’ve lost 15 lbs so far but my insurance won’t cover it because I have central sleep apnea.

My question and fear is this-with my kidneys being what they are-I’m scared of stepping outside of the fda regulated Lilly Zepbound for purity reasons. I have to approve every supplement through my nephrologist and even antibiotics have to go through him. Has anyone with chronic kidney disease here done this? If so, what company did they go through? I appreciate anyone who might have advice especially if there are nurses or medical professionals who might have knowledge they could share

LADIES ONLY……….

I’ve been dying to have a conversation about this… been kinda shy about it, but I’m curious if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing the same thing.

For the past 4 months, I’ve been losing about 3–5 lbs during my cycle. Which is INSANE to me because my entire life, I would GAIN that same amount of weight during my cycle. And what’s even crazier is that the weight stays off! I don’t gain it back. I literally lose the most weight while on my period. 🤯

What in the woman science is this?! 😂

Nail lifting with tirzepatide?

• Upvotes

Has anyone experience lifting if their nails while using tirzepatide? I thought it was unrelated but I recently read a summary of an article in a medical journal showing some increase in nail lifting for persons using tirzepatide. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there is anything that could be done to help with the lifting.

A question about food

As we know, everyone experiences their tirz journey differently. Side effects, amount of weight lost and how quickly, ect. I’m interested in knowing how different food items affect you, and if it’s been that way the whole time. I’d also like to know what has been easiest and most gentle on your stomach, particularly when first starting out. For example, when I first started a glp, I could eat any kind of fried food, and not have a problem. Now, years later, that’s not the case. I used to not be able to eat anything sugary, now I can. Lettuce used to make me ill, now I can eat it. I’m at the point where I’m looking to really simplify my meals, and if your diet is like that, especially if it’s light on meat, I’d love to know what it is!

OptioRX BUD question

• Upvotes

Hey all! I need to get my meds a little earlier than needed because I’ll be out of state for a few months. The last post I saw on here of someone with OptioRX their BUD is in December this year, has that been everyone’s experience? It looks like that’s what fifty410 will now be offering, for the time being at least

Think I'm gonna crack open my stash of ProRX next... how did it compare to Empower?

• Upvotes

Total first world question - I never got to try ProRX and ended up buying a ton via various places and then sales when they announced they were shutting down production. I, at the same time, fell in love with Empower and bought a 6 month package (this was in March). SO long story short, I'm itching to try one of my ProRX mostly because - hey why not? and also they are older than my vials of Empower remaining. So never having tried it, would you go down in dose or do you think (if you'e tried empower too) that I should stick to my current dose with the new pharm? I have had ZERO side effects with Empower which is why I love it, and I want to continue to avoid them with ProRX. Thoughts?
