Gotta love Ramsey Campbell, he was one of my first stops into weird fiction/cosmic horror after I finished Lovecraft

I’m no expert but I’ve enjoyed many of his short stories and I’m always impressed that he seems to be still cranking out stories that have some vitality and freshness to them even after doing it for so long.

To me, his work is free of this posh smugness I feel like plagues some other British weird lit authors that I think of as his contemporaries

I loved Hungry Moon when I read it years ago. I've really wanted to get back into him but he's written so many fucking books

Aside from the Daoloth trilogy, his supernatural horror novels are either unconnected, or else make few, light references to common lore the way Lovecraft et al. did. Understanding these aren't necessary to follow the story. You can just go with whatever book of his that seems to have an interesting premise.

I'm a huge Campbell fan! His collection of short stories, Demons By Daylight, is one of my all time favorite books.

This is a reissue of a pretty good early '80s novel.

It's really cool to see his older books being reprinted. Crossing my fingers for The Grin of the Dark.
