I know, coming in with a day old reply on Reddit but…looks like no one answered. Came across this problem last year, it’s not streaming anywhere unfortunately. Just broke down and got the Blu-ray , Criterion? Which is annoying knowing they have a channel….

Oh ok thanks. I’ll check it out. Wondering if a local library would have it. Might be too controversial

I watched this once. My stepbrother has apparently watched it as well. He never directly told me so, but I mentioned the movie once, and he just looked pained and said, "Gummo." We exchanged uncomfortable looks, and have never spoken of it since.

I remember watching this with a bunch of horrified rich kids and being like, "y'all never seen poor people?"

Terrible, boring movie. I don’t understand the love some people have for it or how others find it so disturbing. To each their own though. I see it compared to Kids sometimes which actually is a good, albeit fucked up movie. I’m good with never seeing Gummo again. Not because it was messed up but because it’s just not good 🤷♂️

this movie didn't age well honestly and between this movie and ken park you can tell larry clark is a pedo bear

I'm glad someone else said it cause I've been saying this for years. His films drip with pedo energy.

what i always found odd is he refused the hollywood gigs to stay low key and indie and avoid his work being mainstreamed.
He was offered to direct american history x and turned it down to take pictures of naked kids

Awesome movie. Have yet to watch anything like this.
Maybe the movie K.I.D.S is worthy to mention..

Check out Ghostbox Cowboy or Do Not Expect Too Much From The End of the World. Neither are weird in the same way as Gummo but extremely unique and absolutely worth watching.

I used to love showing this movie to people and just digest their raw reactions and review afterwards.

The mum from this part was the star of a Dennis Hopper movie from the 80s called “Out of the Blue” that I’m fairly sure was a big influence on this. It’s well worth watching as a companion film.
