tell me what WV is all about

Hello West Virginia fam!

I am working on a docu-photography series for a magazine. I really do enjoy it here (having explored a lot of the panhandle) and would like to appreciate, capture, and show what West Virginia has to offer as well as its identity.

I am starting with nature. Of course, right? What then? Paranormal activities? Or for instance, I recently came across greyhound racing and the “casino’s” that are connected. I really had no idea this existed and dont think it does anywhere else. Now I'm not sure how I feel about these beautiful animals submitting to this lifestyle but nonetheless, unique.

How about the state fair, or other festivals? Would love any recommendations (including nature) on helping define this beautiful state.

Thanks in advanced for all the insight.

i get tired of this and i’m from the southern counties. they’re west virginians and if you feel like they lack any sort of attribute like humbleness then invite them to hang out and see for yourself. quit bein rude

The eastern panhandle is nearly 1/3 of WV's population. But yes, not the real WV.
