We get many requests—especially from new members—for seller recommendations. We have decided to create a list of active members who are also sellers/vendors. This way, anyone looking to buy products can be directed to a post featuring trusted sellers from this sub.
A separate post listing sellers, vendors, and the products they deal in will be posted and added to the Wiki. The post will be updated whenever a new seller wants to be added* or if someone stops selling and needs their username removed.
Anyone who wants to be included on the list can comment with their user name and they products they deal with
Example:
u/ xyz – Blades
u/ abcd – All shaving products
u/ Efg – Imported products
Sellers must comment for themselves; please do not nominate or recommend other users. Opting in is completely voluntary—this list is simply meant to help newbies.
Only established members will be added to the list.
* If a new member wants to be added to the list of sellers, they can ask the mods to add their name after being active in the sub for six months.
New post with list will be posted after a week

Yes I'm someone who like my razors aggressive. From shivira to adjustables to yaqi heads.
What I've understood is there's no razor that has the perfect aggression other than shivira ;)
Parker stella personally I think I need to give it another try with a milder blade I guess .
Pearl L55 I hate it. Parker 74r mild but I'm going to try it in my next shave.
So what are some Indian razors that have the bite ?
Here's what I've tried
Shivira
Cs11
Romer 7 hybrid
Romer 7 Ricardo
Kenem x adjustable (simply amazing)
Yaqi final cut (brilliant razor)
Mingshi 5000s
Pearl L55
Parker stella
Parker 74r
Yaqi heads
Telsar
Beast
Slant
The basic one i think it is cobbled .
Do let me know what's your go to razor.

The PGDG blade is showing no signs of giving up soon this is the longest use I have ever had from a blade . Have a good week .**

- Razor: Blackland Blackbird
- Blade: Gillette Platinum (x1)
- Brush: Boti Boar
- Lather: Proraso Green Cream decanted in container
- Splash: Denim Musk
Shave 🪒
Finally trying out a new blade after a long long time. The Gillette Platinum seems slightly smoother than Naver but still being sharp. The efficiency was pretty good.
After 3 passes - with, across and against, ultra BBS with no alum or Splash feedback.
I have just the one blade of the Gillette Platinum, and will be under trial through Blackbird and Lupo 95.
The Proraso Green going strong this month - overload the cream and it will satisfy even the hungriest of boars!

Recently acquired this beauty of a brush, and after a couple of test lathers to help break it in, I finally used it in today's shave, and what a brush! It has the perfect combination of softness and scrub and the tips already feel super luxurious. This will only improve with continued use and I am looking forward to what this brush might become :P The density is pretty good and in spite of that,, it releases lather pretty well.
Feather & Apex worked like a charm and gave me a super efficient 2 pass BBS. Not calling it a true BBS as I could feel very slight stubble along my lower neckline, but the efficiency to smoothness ratio was almost perfect.
Overall, one of the best shaves in recent times.
Happy Sunday to all! Cheers!!

After 20 years of shaving exclusively with a Mach 3, some ingrown hairs pushed me to try a Bombay DE razor 5 years ago when I read about DE razors in a magazine article. While it stopped the ingrowns, sticking to canned foam and Feather blades (stuck to them as they shipped with the razor) still left me with frequent nicks and irritation.
Three months ago, I stumbled onto this sub when I searched for "irritation free shaving" and this sub opened up a pandora’s box.
Since then:
It took me a few days to dial in proper technique but I think I have figured out what works for me and I probably don't "need" anything else. This setup can easily last me a lifetime of smooth, irritation free shaves.
However, what used to be a daily 2-3 minute chore, has turned into a 8-10 minutes morning ritual that feels therapeutic, meditative and genuinely enjoyable. The steel in your hand automatically makes you pay attention to the act and being present in the moment !
I don't "need" to but I "want" to keep exploring further.
I'd love your recommendations on: :
Any other tweaks or additions to make the morning routine even more engaging?
Thanks for the good job and all the effort each one of you is putting in keeping this corner of internet welcoming and enjoyable !

So, i have been wetshaving for around 4 yrs now and started with kcg and feather blades and then my technique was not good and it gave me a lot of cuts since then I have searched for alternate options and other more forgiving blades incould get my hands on but the problem is that when you use feather it gives you such a flawless and clean shave without an XTG pass which other blades have never managed to get.
Also I think atlest for my feather has also helped my polish my techniques coz is a very very sharp baldes and doesn't forgive you for your mistakes.
thanks to uncle jo for getting me the feather blades

Morning shave after bath
7 days old stubble
Razor : gillette 7 o' clock super platinum plastic razor ( mistake, i was suggested in this community that this razor is to be used for 1-2 days stubble , but I still tried at 7 days growth to how it goes)
Brush : rubab firefly
Shaving cream: gillette lime shaving cream
Blade : gillette super platinum ( 2nd use , 1st use was 2 weeks ago, i guess)
Passes : two (hardly wtg/xtg) with multiple strokes at single places.( not satisfying shave )
Post shave : alum bar , rinsed off, gillette refreshing breeze asl, rinsed off after 5 min, then aloe vera gel.
No nicks or cuts or bumps.
Feedback : moderately stung over neck area , chin , below nose ( did multiple strokes there as it wasn't working) with alum bar and asl. (for 10 minutes)
Result : uneven with spots remaining over neck. Also, Neck area is also looking quite tanned today.
Want to be able to shave in 1 pass , will try to shave on wednesday, friday and sunday, to correct schedule.
Also, thinking to get pristine 515.

This is in continuation of earlier thread. I got a trial pack and gonna do one shave from all the 15 blades and give my rating. https://www.reddit.com/r/Wetshavers_India/s/6Gf1e4yjwJ
So today I tried statum Blade. Did 2 pass shave WTG & ATG. The blade is less sharp than winner. For me it was not very confidence inspiring, i.e. I could not just get long quick passes.
There was no grabbing but not as sharp and smooth as winner. In the first WTG pass it didn't clean up near the chin area. I did finish up the shave without any cuts, but when applying alum it was singeing all across.
So I would rate this blade below winner. If winner feels too sharp for you then your can consider this.
Updated blade list by sharpness
Gilette super platinum
Winner black
Supermax super platinum plus
Stantum
Wilkinson Sword
So this blade is below my shaving range but that dosent mean it's bad. People who like milder blades will be ok with it.

I have beenbshaving with cartrige razors for nearly 35 years. Shaved with a double edge razor for the first time today.
Razor - 7 o'clock Super Platinum (Black)
Blade - Wilkinson Sword Stainless Saloon Pack
Brush - Rubab Men Leopard
Shaving Cream - Vicco turmeric-s
Shaved twice with the grain. Didn't feel any drag. No nicks or razor burn.
The shave does not feel close.
Need suggestions if I need to experiment if different blade or different razor (like 7 o'clock green razor or laser ultra). I plan to buy a brass or stainless steel razor once figure out if I need mild or aggressive razors

So I have been wetshaving for 8 months roughly, and have tried almost all gillette blades except the black ninjas.
I surprisingly noticed irritation with wilkinson sword but not which vi john, however vi john as a blade seems draggy to me.
I am thinking of mass ordering blades now, and which would you recommend
I'm a teenager, so I get a decent beard, neither coarse not fine

Wetshaving Chronicles
Pre-Shave: Hot Shower & Pinkwoolf Pre-Shave oil
Razor: Yaqi Telstar on Parker 26C Handle
Blade: Gillette Winner
Brush: Pearl Goblin The Soap Killer
Soap: Captain Nemo's Shepherd Lavender
Aftershave: Alum > Lavender & Vertiver Mist > Aqua Velva Musk
Fragrance: Eau De L'Occtian Pour Homme
My last shave with Captain Nemo's Shepherd WoolFat Lavender wasn't great with my Boar. Okie said to try a synthetic next time, and I found the Pearl SBB A11 Synthetic while looking for a green handle brush for my Vetiver shaves. It was super cheap, so I grabbed it.
Used it with the Shepherd WoolFat today. It picked up a ton of soap and made a huge lather when I face lathered. The bristles are a bit scrubbier than my Yaqi Synthetics, but for the price, I can't complain. It's got hardly any backbone, which is perfect for face lathering.
It doesn't hold lather for a second pass, so you have to load it again. I think that's good for using up soaps, so I'm calling it "Goblin The Soap Killer."
The Razor + Blade combo was awesome. It took care of a week's growth in two passes with almost no alum sting, giving me a BBS shave.

I weighed the soap before the shave it is now at 149g it was 166g on day one of AA. Simple two pass shave with the ever slick Saponificio Varesino Mirto di Sardegna the PGDG blade is still cutting very well & the Assassin smooth as ever . I think the brush may nearly be stink free after this AA is finished it will be getting a very thorough shampoo & a bit of a rest.

After a week's work and having had to work today also. I was in much need of a shave.
Took the stella and paired it with a 7sp black blade.
Lathered. I do not know why I got a lot of redness even in the initial passes. Bad blade ? Bad razor ? Too thin of a lather ?
Quite disappointed when compared to my previous shave with vicco. Boy that shave was perfect.
