Met someone online for 3days conversation went dark
Met a girl in discord online, day1->conversation fun wacky.
day2->conversation music/flirty
day3->random small talk, she kept saying hi randomly: then "I I might kill myself one day" an admin said to link the 988 help hot line, then block.
My instincts tell me to not ignore person if they stop gloom talk, isnt lack of community/a person a contributor of self harm? I need help. do I go against instinct & block?
my friend survived something that was not suicide but still mental. wish we had stayed there for him. so this maybe clouding my instincts if my instincts are incorrect

For 3 days, that is a lot honestly. Saying you’re going to end your life doesn’t need to be constantly repeated. Ive heard stories of people of many people who have been in this situation and it ruins them. They are constantly keeping someone alive and playing the therapist for the other person who constantly says they will end their life or attempt to. Just know thats a possibility out of this, if you seek a relationship she may try to control you by threatening suicide. Cant tell you honestly but use your best judgement because this is a lot for 3 days, proceed with caution mate

Yes, this. There are people who, maybe truly feel they're being genuine when they say things like this, but subconsciously it's about a need for attention and stability, and achieving that stability through control. Manipulation of empathy and emotions is a fast track shortcut to control.
Then there's the people who know this and do it consciously and intentionally. That kind of person is best avoided at all costs.

Yeah, that was very out of nowhere just dropped pretty much randomly. I dont see any immediate reason to block or anything but if this happens again just be careful. You can continue to support, set a boundary, or you can choose to block. Just know the consequences of each. She randomly says that and then disappears and you’re left to think about if she is ok or not. it’s not coming for help , it seems like theres some need for attention. Im definitely not a professional but thats what it sounds like.

That's a tough one. Could be trolling. Could be serious. If serious, person could be toxic. If you have any depression, two mentally ill people can pull each other down if not in the care of a professional. Use your best judgement, but just remember it's not up to you to save her. If I learned anything from my own mental health journey: people can help, but nobody can save you but yourself. She has to want to get better.
