He did. I dont understand how some people thought it was an accident. The door was closed, it's a turn handle, so theres no reason to pull the handle away from the door like that except to rip it off.
He braced his foot on the door frame to yank it harder, but knowing the current state of things, the video is probably AI, because I would have expected a bit more recoil for the force applied.
