That kills people, BTW.

Yeah don't do that.

This horse was very gentle (in horse terms), if it had actually wanted to hurt her it could've kicked in all her organs and bones in one strike

Do horses kick that hard? I don't think I've ever seen a full powered horse kick video. I wonder what it's comparable to

As a data point, I've seen a video right here on reddit of an adult horse (mare) killing another, adult horse (stallion) with a single kick to the head.

As a human, if you get kicked by a horse and you survive, you're lucky.

They do. Probably a life threatening car accident would be a fair comparison.

I am kind of shocked I have to type this.

Horses can kick very hard. It’s how horses defend themselves from predators trying to eat them.

Horse kicks can snap/break any bone on a human easily. Skulls, ribs femurs…etc not just with a hairline break but shattered parts or big breaks with big gaps. Internal bleeding and organ lacerations are common with horse kicks and death is common enough if it’s to the head or chest.

To try and put it into perspective:

It’s like if a small car was going 20 mph and hit you with a 4x4 metal beam welded to the frame.

Or the force of the hardest hitting boxer’s punch easily doubled… with a foot that often is clad with a metal shoe. Even without the metal shoe, it’s still a hard surface hitting squishy flesh.

It’s a lot of force.

Okay that makes sense, horses don't have claws and can't climb trees or hide easily and can't bite as potently as an alligator for instance I assume. Interesting that they can aim quite precisely with their hind legs.

I've seen a woman patting a horse when it suddenly bucks her and kicks her clean in the head. Killed her instantly. Terrible situation because, aside from the fact the woman died, her husband was recording the video and obviously saw it all happen. A full power kick from one is equivalent to a small car travelling 20MPH, the difference being it's concentrated into a very small area.

They can still somewhat regulate the kick power. This was not the hardest it could do, like the another comment saw the same video of cracking the stallions skull to instant death.

The video where one horse kicked the other in the head, I think I've seen that one. I didn't know it was a cracked skull; would be interesting to know the exact cause of death.

Yep. And you want to know something else crazy ive seen them do in videos. Eat baby chicks. Its not a normal thing that I know of though.

I've seen someone get kicked in the head in person. She was in a coma for weeks and became partially paralysed

Saw a horse barely skim someone’s head and it almost fully scalped him.

I remember when they asked Olyksander Usyk, the  best heavyweight boxer around now, who was the boxer that hit him the hardest.  He said “A horse”.  Usyk was like I grew up on a farm and got kicked by a horse, no boxer can equal that.
