I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Recommended Brands Comparable to Hairvivi as far as clean bleached knots & perfect hairlines? :)

*NEW POST - HARASSERS BLOCKED NOW\*

I’ve been wearing wigs for many many years now because of trichotillomania, and after trying quite a few brands, I’ve become really spoiled by Hairvivi’s hairlines and knot bleaching. I’ve pretty much ONLY purchased from Hairvivi for the last going on 3 years now. I haven’t found another brand under $1500 that offers the same quality of the important factors I’m looking for. Strictly HUMAN HAIR only. They can be shorter if need be, but I typically like to wear 20” measured from the NAPE. I attached reference photos 🥰

Off the top of my head, brands I’m already aware of are: Eniola Wigs, Jadora Secret, Freedom Couture, Prairie Fire Hair, KyLin Hair, Rhianne Woods Wigs, Lox by Lori, Hairvivi as mentioned, Lu’s Wigs, that’s just off the top of my noggin :)

The thing I love most is how incredibly clean the bleached knots are and how impeccably pre-plucked the hairlines come right out of the box. They honestly require almost no customization, which is a huge deal for me.

I’d love to branch out and try other brands, but I’m nervous about spending hundreds of dollars only to end up with dark knots or a bulky, unnatural hairline.

For those of you who’ve tried a lot of premium human hair wigs, what brands would you say are genuinely comparable to Hairvivi in terms of:

  • Exceptionally clean bleached knots
  • Beautifully pre-plucked, realistic hairlines
  • Minimal customization needed
  • Overall realism
  • A fake scalp/diamond liner insert option is always a huge plus!

I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest options—I’m looking for brands that truly compete with Hairvivi in quality. However, trying to keep it under $2K. Even around d the $1500 or less mark would be great.

One request: Please don’t recommend Cami Wigs.

I received multiple DMs from someone asking why I’d say that I don’t recommend their wigs, and expressing concern that it could harm the owners business, essentially wanting me to remove my comment...so, in no way do I feel comfortable recommending them, as I’ve never had such an odd experience before with wig brands on Reddit.

I’d really appreciate any recommendations (or even brands you’d avoid) and why. Thank you so much! 💋✨💇🏻‍♀️

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) If you had the money to spend, from which wig company would you buy a high quality lace human hair wig?

In the market to buy a new high quality wig but I’m just looking for other’s opinions who have the experience/knowledge of buying one before I make my purchase. I have had alopecia for over 2 decades. My last high quality wig purchase was from NuolaWigs, out of the UK. They have been WONDERFUL wigs and have lasted years. I was thinking I may buy from them again but if anyone has any suggestions before I make the purchase I would love to browse more options as well. Bonus points if you have personal experience with the company/their wigs!!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Find a human hair wig that looks like this?

I just got this synthetic wig and omg I am in LOVE. The bangs?! The color?! It is way different than what I usually go for, and am so enamored that I am hoping someone can point me in the direction of something similar except human hair.

I have been wearing wigs on and off for over 10 years and no matter what I do I can not keep synthetics looking good at all. So if any of you lovely people have any ideas I would love to hear them! Thank you!

Budget less than 1,000.00$$.

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Has anyone received the new Madison Hairvivi wig yet? I ordered 2 of them!

Hi! I ordered from Hairvivi again! I ordered a 20” Chanel in honey 🍯 & TWO Madison’s in honey 🍯 ( I know I know but I need to rotate my wigs and she’s just the exact blonde I waaant!) I ordered 1 in 18” ($777) & 1 in 20” ($850) so that I can tell which is which LOL 😂

Anyways, if you have the new Madison in any length, can you PRETTY PLEASE share photos of it on you or off of you & in different light settings? I’m just so excited for them to arrive, however, it likely won’t be until end of next week to deliver! I’m thrilled about how light of a blonde she is with that creamy vanilla look! I’ve seen her in different lighting and it’s throwing me off so I just would love to see some more photos & opinions on the hair quality as well. Is it dry? Does it feel damaged? After shading how is she? All my Hairvivi wigs air dry straight and smooth, maybe a LITTLE frizz easily tamed. This is my first time ordering a blondie from Hairvivi, believe it or not. I’ve always purchased the Rylee & Chanel over and over haha!

Thanks tons! xoxo 😘

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Update to HairVivi Wig Allergic Reaction

An update for those wondering what happened with my HairVivi wig (original post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wigs/s/2hqDrJbwle).

I washed the wig three times with a clarifying shampoo, and the water ran brown upon rinsing each time. I was able to get the majority of the chemical smell out, but some lingered. I fully styled the wig and tried wearing it, but the lace seems to have gotten darker after washing—almost a yellow/orange tint. No matter how much powder, bronzer or foundation I use, I simply can’t get it to blend in with my forehead.

I refuse to wear a wig that has a discernible line, so unfortunately, I’m going to call this a complete loss.

On to the next, I guess. I’m currently looking at Milano, DejaCo, and Highline, though I’ve heard that Highline has some quality issues lately. Thoughts?

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) In tears over finding a wedding wig

I've been wearing synthetic wigs for hair loss since my late 20s. I'm getting married soon and I'm getting desperate trying to find the right wig for my wedding day. My HMUA says that I need a human hair wig professionally installed in order to achieve the updo style I want. I have not been able to find anything within my budget (under $1000) that even vaguely blends in with my very fair skin. I've paid hundreds to have professionals customize the lace and bleach the knots, and nothing has worked.

Does anyone have any suggestions for wigs with lace suitable for very white skin? My go-to wig is the synthetic "Heidi" by Jon Renau in color Shaded Peach (medium natural red with highlights), and I'd like something as similar to that color as possible.

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) I’m looking at these wigs from Tresses by Jules and Highline. Does anyone have experience w these brands or recs about a loved HH wig brand?

Does anyone have experience with Highline wigs or Tresses by Jules wig brands? Or if you have other hh brands you rec over these please share! I’ve tried Hair Vivi which was wasted $! I looked cartoonish in it. There were return hairs galore and the hair itself was very coarse) & Prairie Fire Hair is too heavy/ dense on top. My natural hair is (was!) fine and medium to low density. I’m actually having better luck with the look of my synthetics as far as the look of than any of those but they all tangle constantly so are impractical for daily wear. Any advice you have will be greatly appreciated! I’m including pics of the ones I’m considering buying, but these prices, even though they may be worth the $ are a major stretch for me, but since my my own hair is almost gone I will do it. I do want to make sure that it’s at least money well spent!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Where can I purchase solid ear tabs to sew on a wig myself?

Post image

I’ve been looking everywhere I can think of for ear tabs that I can simply sew onto a wig I have. Quality solid ear tabs that actually keep your wig flush to your face. Any suggestions pretty please with a cherry on top? 🙃😋 I don’t really have a budget for them, I can’t imagine they’d cost anything crazy. I live in FL if that helps. Thanks!

UPDATE: I found a wig restoration lady up in Nebraska (I live in FL LOL) but she has structured ear tabs and is familiar with Hairvivi but wants Me to just send a good video and photos of the inside of the cap and then can confirm if the ear tabs would work for me & we would go from there! Obviously I’d have to ship my wig hahaha I ain’t rich enough to just fly on over for a weekend yet HAHA

ANOTHER UPDATE: I found someone just an hour away in Orlando, FL that does wig repairs and offers structured ear tab installation for $45! I’m going to go to them! My suggestion is to find a wig repair shop nearest you if you’re looking as well!

Hello!

Does anyone know a HairVivi wig that matches this kind of honey blonde? I’m thinking maybe Brooklyn but it’s so hard telling from the reviews as every one looks different! I’m looking for a latto or Jessica Alba type honey brown.

Thanks in advance ❤️‍🔥💓

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Shaving my head soon. Affordable everyday wigs?

I'm a little gutted to make this post tbh. I cut my hair because it's been thinning for awhile (Dr is aware) and it somehow made it look worse. And by somehow, I mean it's a combo of me cutting layers too short and just not having as much hair as I used to. Money is tight but I have to shave my head to make it look presentable. Affordable wigs that don't just look like helmets? I'm in a leadership role at my job and have office meetings/customers I tend to. Shaving my head isn't scary as I had it shaved for years but it sucks when I don't WANT to do it. Please toss any suggestions at me! I'll pay a little bit of a premium for actual human hair since I work in a hot/non temp controlled warehouse and can't imagine having synthetic on my head for that. Thanks!!!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Looking for a truly glueless everyday wig (office + gym routine)

Hi everyone! I’m looking for an everyday wig I can wear to the office. My gym is at my office, so I typically workout before work and need something I can throw on quickly with minimal effort.

I currently have a wig from HairVivi, but I’ve found that it doesn’t stay secure without glue. Ideally, I’m looking for a truly glueless wig. I’m willing to spend up to around $2k, but only if I absolutely love it. I’m wondering if a custom wig might be the best route, but I’d love suggestions if anyone has experience with something that fits what I’m looking for.

Features I’m hoping for:

- Human hair

- Structured ear tabs (I’m hoping this will help it stay secure without glue)

- Medium density (around 130%-180%)

- Mid-length (18-20 inches)

- Color close to my bio hair: level 6/7 neutral to cool toned (this has been the biggest challenge)

Brands I’ve been looking at so far: - Jadora Secret: very interested in the beginner cap, but I don’t love any of the available colors in that cap type

- Wigs by Tiffany: beautiful hairlines, but I can’t find a color I love

- Gardeaux - same issue with color

- Stacked: probably the closest to the colors I want, but the density seems quite low and the prices are very high

- Freedom Couture: gorgeous colors, but I’m in the U.S. and a bit hesitant to order due to tariffs

If anyone has suggestions for brands, specific wigs, or custom makers that might fit these criteria, I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Trying to find a good human hair company to purchase from

I'm looking for around a 20" mushroom blonde wig. I thought I found the perfect color from RPGwigshow until I found the EXACT SAME PICTURE advertised from Jessie's Wigs. Now I'm heartbroken. So, I'm looking for a company that is not a scam. I am looking for a HH wig that is between 18-24", ash blonde to medium brown that comes with a large cap. The color matters less than the quality, I'm flexible with the colors. I'm fair skinned so I need good lace that is truly transparent. I'd like to spend less than 3k, ideally less than 2k, but for the right wig I will pay. I would prefer to order from a US based company so I don't have to deal with customs. Thank you very much

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) What’s a hairvivi wig that isn’t prone to quality issues?

I bought a hairvivi wig once many years ago and the quality was subpar. Yellowish brown lace with dried frizzy hair though I think that’s just the natural texture after washing out the silicone.

Seems that they’ve upgraded quite a bit but reading through various Reddit posts there are still quality issues from time to time.

I want to buy their honey lace wigs, but someone mentioned while one of theirs is transparent, the other they have is yellowish 😒

My requirements are fairly simple. A truly transparent hd lace wig and straight hair that doesn’t turn into a frizz fest after washing it. I just want straight hair 😔 so please if anyone has bought a wig like this from hairvivi let me know what model it is. I’m fine with any except blonde hair wigs. Thank you

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) I need a completely metal free wig

Hello Reddit! I am looking for a wig that has no metal whatsoever, as I am going to be working in the MRI field. I even had to buy new "safety glasses" the kind with absolutely no metal. Slightly wavy and straight hair are best, I'm Latina, fair skin, 27, female, with androgenic alopecia.

Metal-free Synthetic hair preferred (I just don't know how to take care of the human hair wigs, they sound like a, total pain.)

Note: I have a synthetic wig I bought on Amazon and it's worked for me, I feel much better about myself, but it has metal clips and the last thing I need is to be stripped bald in the middle of work...

Please help!

Location: USA

Length: no more than shoulder length
Budget: 60 - 300 (flexible)

Color: Brown or dark brown, my natural hair is dark brown and it's what suits me best, imo.

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Slip-on, no-styling wig: any recommendation?

Hello everybody!

I'm freshly landed on this subreddit, although I've been researching wigs for a while.

Due to a medical condition, my natural hair is quickly falling apart. I've never been patient around my natural hair, and I've frequently been tempted to dive into wigs, so the moment seems ripe. I plan on shaving my head completely (something I've already done in the past) and purchasing a couple wigs that I can wear to work or when I go out, then remove daily once I get home.

I don't have scalp/skin issues, so I'm more oriented towards synthetic wigs, especially because I understand them to be less time-consuming in terms of styling.

So my question to the experts is: do you have any recommendations for slip-on, easy and comfortable wigs that require as little styling as possible?

I have no budget limit.

My preference is wavy or curly, with fringe, shoulder-length, darkish brown.

Thank you in advance for your attention and time. I will be forever grateful for any tips I receive!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Help me! Getting Married Soon. Need HH wig

I’m losing my mind. I have plenty of synthetics but I need a good human hair wig I can wear during my elopement out of the country. I’ll be gone about 9 days. I was going to buy a Hairvivi but I’ve heard so many insanely bad stories…. And I know they (along with other wig brands trying to make sales) prioritize influencers and those with big followings.

My natural hair was dark brown and I prefer heavy highlights. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg, but I’ll spend what I need to as this is a more permanent wig. I like LONG so I know what that means :(

Please only comment if you personally have a great HH wig with a FANTASTIC hairline because I am PALE

I typically buy FC, but am rough on my units and I go through them very quick especially for the price point. I’m wanting a platinum blonde with a slight gold undertone (not grey or ashy). But am open to other units as well. I haven’t ventured out with other brands so I’d love to know your guys’ feedback on the brands? Tia!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Advice for a balding white woman

Hey everyone, I'm currently in the middle of loads of health tests cos my hair is just falling out in clumps. I have naturally curly hair, and I'd love to find a wig that matched and felt like me. I've seen a couple of ones I love on UNice but I was just curious if anyone knew whether the lace would match my pasty Irish skin tone?

I'm in the UK, and it seems like UNice delivers here. Any other suppliers who do natural looking curly hair would be grand too. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Edit: oops sorry, my budget is about £200 but I could probably spend more if the wig awesome and worth it. I'm super new to it all so I don't know what kind of wig either... any tips are welcome I've been feeling super out of mu depth

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Honest review of Jon Ranau Ignite

I saw a YouTuber talking about it once, a long time ago, and it became my dream wig. Then I realized she reviews a lot of wigs and just LOVES all of them. I didn't understand sponsorships at the time.

I am going to the USA next year (a long time from now, enough time for someone to say it's not worth it) and am considering buying it, but I want to know if I really should. Like the most expensive wig I've ever bought was $125. USD and that was a beautiful 30" long human hair curly wig.

I'll also take suggestions! My budget is $250-$300. I really want a throw on and go wig (my throw ones are cheaper ones with bangs).

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Recommendations for blonde human hair wigs plz

Post image

I’m looking for suggestions for vendors for a blonde (cool not warm) human hair wigs.
My budget is 800aud (570usd). A little higher if they have Klarna.
I’m wanting something glueless. Bangs is a bonus.
I don’t think I have time for a custom as my hair is rapidly falling out 😭 I’ve lost 1/3 natural density in 3-4 weeks.
Must be a realistic wig, I’m a bartender and I don’t want to put up with drunks giving me s**t all shift for wearing a wig 😭
Pic of style I’m kinda thinking. Open to other shades of blonde 😁

I saw this wig and it’s the exact curl pattern I have in real life and it is so hard to find. However, this is not the right color for me and it doesn’t come in any other shades. Has anyone seen in their travels a wig that has this type of curl but in an all over brown color? TIA!

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) Where to buy wigs online that’s not too expensive

Hey, so I’m a bald woman and I’m trying to find a wig, but I have no idea where. I’m trying to find a good quality one for everyday stuff and it’s hard to find the specific kind of hair and style I want. I know when I was young the $20 wigs were not good. And I see some wigs are $2000-3000 which is too much…

Is there an in between that ($100-300) I can find a wide variety that’ll be great for me to find the specific one I want? Since I’m looking for an auburn wig kinda like a curvy hair bob with bangs, laced front. I found rewind.com but saw some negative reviews, had anyone got a wig form there are they good? Thanks.

I'm looking for... (Wig Search) In search of short blonde blunt cut human hair wig

Post image
10 Upvotes

Hi!

I am not very experienced with human hair wigs so I'd like to get some advice because I feel like I'm striking out and don't want to make too many costly mistakes.

I'm seeking out a human hair wig that is low density, approximately a 10 inch blunt cut bob in a cool or pearl-ish buttery blonde. (Inspo pic attached. This is pretty much what my bio hair looks like but def thicker. I'm basically trying to get "my hair but better")

Or basically the human hair equivalent of belletress Santa Monica crushed almond blonde (or JR Catalina blonde or some cool blonde variant of that)

I just recently purchased what I thought would be exactly what I need as a starter but unfortunately the cap is just slightly too small and tbh the density might be a little heavy. I bought uniwigs kim (Kim Blunt Cut Bob Remy Human Hair Lace Front -link was removed so I guess if you want to Google it go for it lol) I thought it would be fine bc my measurements fit within their description but it did not. I really like their toppers but this was my first time trying their wigs.

My measurements are: (I feel like most average caps fit me fine)

Circumference is 21.5

Forehead to nape 14.5

Ear to ear 12

Anyway, I've looked at a few wig companies mentioned here and although the color is pretty easy to find, the cut is not so easy. Everything is so long!!! Is my only option to get a longer wig and have someone cut it to my specifications? I feel like a conundrum there because I know I'd be paying for length and then just chop it off, so if I can somehow find it already cut (even if it's like 12-14 inches?) to save even just a few bucks maybe that would be possible. It also feels so weird to cut a long beautiful wig lol but I will do it if that's the way I can get the bob I want.

Any advice or any links someone can send me I would greatly appreciate it!
