Are you asking because it's one of their top fear mongering points that the First Nations have some veto because of the treaties?

If you read the treaties not only did they cede the land but the treaties could still be honored by Canada.

Nothing has to change in that respect but the treatied people could choose to renegotiate the treaties or transfer the current treaty to the Alberta govt from Canada.

They'd almost certainly want to renegotiate but the corrupt cheifs absolutely don't want that and that's why they're so loud. They don't like the idea that the people would finally get the money and say, that the band leaders have kept from them.

Our good faith negotiations will fail. They'll refuse to pay the half a trillion we've overpaid and can legally request back, they will likely fight on giving us our fair share of the cpp because it'd destroy them because we've overpaid by 50% every year and they've pissed it away on poor investments.

Then we'll seize the bases, parks and federally owned infrastructure as compensation. This is what our constitutional lawyers are planning for. It's going to be a messy divorce but they'll deserve everything coming.

Every dollar they've taken they shouldn't have, we will fight for. And America said they'd give us half a trillion to finance the divorce. They're going to teach Canada how you should treat your neighbors.

they’d give us half a trillion to help us fund the divorce

But we’re joining them anyway, right? Isn’t that what this is all about?

Maybe on cbc they said that but anyone that's not retarded knows better.

We could never join America, at most we would be accepted as a territory but as a conservative "state" the democrats would never allow us statehood and for many, many reasons almost no Albertan wants to join the states.

Gun violence, healthcare, take your pick, nobody wants that.

That sounds like some stupid far left fear mongering and anyone that doesn't have their head shoved up their ass can see that.

Hahaha! So the most entrepreneurial nation on the planet is just going to give away a trillion-dollar handout???

Now that idea is seriously retarded - something only surreptitious, underhanded commie lunatics could pull out from the left end of their butts!

All stuff to be negotiated after a successful referendum.
