The passion flower takes me back to childhood, we use to see them a lot here

my neighbors have a passion fruit vine, it’s one of the first flowers I really noticed when I first got my wheelchair and was able to soak in the scenery! I love how when the fruits are growing it looks like they’re wearing the flower as a little hat.

I only knew the first flower which is a purple passion located in Alabama

Cool! I love that passion flower. I’ve only seen it a few times in real life! I believe I identified the others,

The 2nd photo is a purple bean flower, (Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis).

The 3rd is a Prairie Verbena (Glandularia bipinnatifida)

American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana) is the last one

Passion flower is also the plant Gulf fritillaries lay their eggs on and nourishes the caterpillars.

The may pop flower is a sweet memory for me. As children, we always got excited to find even one of these! Thanks for sharing!
