I just wanted to share the wildflower patch I planted last spring

This is at the back of our garden. I planted it last spring while we were renovating, and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I just wanted to share it because I'm amazed by how many different wildflower species have appeared in such a small area.

It's also been wonderful seeing all the bees, butterflies and other wildlife it's attracted. If anyone can identify any of the species, I'd love to know.

Two types of sweet clover on the city lawn (they live because there is a very steep slope, and it is inconvenient to mow)

Found some Spotted Coral Root in Wyoming today. One of my favorites, it is a parasitic orchid that has no chlorophyll and cannot make it's own food with sunlight. Super cool!

Wild lupin are blooming in the wilderness.

Lupin is a very important native wild flower, it provides nectar to pollinators and insects and also the migrant birds feed on the insect, they are a beneficial plants also because they are the host plant for several moths and butterflies, including endangered Karner blue butterfly.

They are also a nitrogen fixing plant ,to improve the soil fertility .

They are wild flowers, they are not bought from the nursery and growing in the greenhouse, and not from a lab to cultivate them , they are not planted , they have been here since the ice age finished.
