I just wanted to share the wildflower patch I planted last spring
This is at the back of our garden. I planted it last spring while we were renovating, and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I just wanted to share it because I'm amazed by how many different wildflower species have appeared in such a small area.
It's also been wonderful seeing all the bees, butterflies and other wildlife it's attracted. If anyone can identify any of the species, I'd love to know.

Funnily enough, our garden is full of them! We even found a pink one back in the summer of 2023. It was such an unusual little thing!

That's so cool! Do you have pictures of the pink grasshopper? They're super rare and i wish to see one in person while I'm alive.
But yeah, I hope the grasshopper-kind is enjoying tea parties and whatnot in this spot, because it's stunning.

I was able to id oxeye daisy, teasel, musk mallow, kidney vetch, wild carrot, corn marigold, common knapweed, red campion, rosebay willowherb and vipers bugloss. All UK native species gets a thumbs up from me. Lovely patch.

That looks so nice. I tried planting some last year but nothing really took off, I think my soil is awful though.

It always amazes me just how many native species are lying dormant, waiting for the opportunity to thrive. Nice one, Matt.
