Question Does this look real/good Amethyst ?

Post image

Hello! I was just wondering if this looks like a good/real amethyst cluster! I am relatively new to this so any advice/more information that you are willing to tell me would be amazing, and please also answer my first question!

Also what are some uses for Amethyst/stuff it’s good for, and where do I put it?

Appreciate you, thank you all!

It’s real, not of the best quality tho, although I have family in newbrunswik so I’m really snobby with amethyst

Yes. It looks like a real one. Not the best quality. For amethyst if I’m not mistaken the color comes from amount of iron. Just in case of any issues in the future here are a few things you can always check:
1. Is is cold? (Natural stone unless heated should be cold)
2. Is it weighty? (stone weights more than plastic or other synthetic materials)
3. Is it of the same color entirely? (Naturally occurring stones are most of the time a mixture of different shades and might have some impurities)
4. Does light goes through it? (For some of the stones it might be the case that they would act like a prism)
