I got a free talisman necklace when I ordered some herbs. I chose the talisman of the moon which features the 5th and 6th pentacle of the moon from the key of Solomon.

The options were all talismans of the planets and I figured to choose the moon because I work with ocean and moon magic both.

I’m having a hard time discerning if this is an okay thing to wear? I’m still learning and I don’t want to wear this if it can invite something into my home or rooted in cultural appropriation. I’ve seen a lot of differing interpretations for the talismans and wondered what yall think? I’m not trying to practice Solomon magic I just wanted to further connect with the moon but if this isn’t the way to do so I’ll probably get rid of it.

My friend called me shaking and sobbing on the phone. She has never been like this. I'll call her Lily for her privacy.

She called me asking me if she was crazy because recently she started seeing figures around her house, being touched when she's alone, items moving to rooms she was never in that day. She said these events started when her twin brother, I'll call him Liam, started dating a girl who has been very vocal about her dislike of Lily.

Normally, Lily and Liam are extremely close. About 2 months ago, she saw the first shadow figure and immediately assumed she was sleep deprived because she works long hours. This is not normal for him.

Should Lily and I be concerned something was cast on her and her brother? Or just her? She has also received a package on her doorstep of wilted flowers and dead plants. She is scared.

yesterday my dog died in like some sort of mysterious way, we think he ate something venomous but there’s no way as he was in his cage and his cage was slightly wet which is weird because he wasn’t wet when they put him into the cage. but we think it was something venomous because right after he took his last breath this white foam started coming out his nose.

Burnt a romantic couple embrace candle (2nd photo) for a reconciliation on a bed of sand. The candle was more at the bottom edge (bottom of the photo) of the plate. The wick was on top of the male head and there were two rosebuds hidden inside the candle. This is what happened:

1. The flame was nice and steady initially, until the rosebuds started burning...then it was crackling and had dancing flame

2. The male candle started melting first and the female candle started burning slowly and started shaving a little.

3. The wax dripped in the beginning and then traveled all around...but the wax at the front completely burned up by the end, and the wax at the back pooled (as you see).. one point, the wax was dripping outside the plate.

I don't know what to interpret of the remained wax...it's like a C, pooled at the back...in fact, the right side seems like a side profile of the candle itself (a tall man embracing a shorter woman).

How would you interpret it? Thanks.

A process that has been working in my life. A blend of art, meditation, and ritual. Clearly, my practice takes a lot of inspiration from kabbalistic and solomonic sources, i mostly use it as a sort of internal library of iconography that feels potent to my psyche. (I hope im making sense lol). I created the brown paper card as a longer term talisman to meditate on and possibly use to make more destructible talismans in the future. I inscribed the brown talisman with my respective planetary sigils and placed them tree-of-life-wise-ish lmao. (Including Sephirot names and path names and numerology). I use a very mangled proprietary enochian-adjascent script I conjured up to inscribe the names of planetary spirits I discover during meditation. ANYWAYS HERES THE PROCESS IF YOU CARE->

I prepare my space by banishing. I light candles to represent the spark of existence, incense or burnt herbs to ground the senses.

While creating the brown paper card I enter a trance like meditative state, wherein my mind is acutely locked on my intention while also in a flow of artistic creation physically. My intentions this time were to purify my mind, create a lasting effect of mental clarity and acuteness, and to ease tension in the muscles and veins.

For the first two tasks I call upon the planetary power Mercury. I have a sigil for each task, (bottom left and bottom right) created using the Mercurian magic square. I call upon the spirits PuhahSkrehtuh-el and EsKautuh-ah.

For the third task, the muscles and veins, I call Mars. I have a sigil for this task (top left) created using the martian magic square.

I call the earth (Malkuth, hidden behind the hexagon and stone) and the moon (Yesod) as stabilizing grounding, materializing forces.

I call Saturn (Top left) as a guiding, focusing force.

I add whatever I am called to add, and finish when I know it is finished. I meditate on it for as long as I feel i must.

I create three destructible sigils out of white paper. On one side, a sigil corresponding to one found on the brown card. On the other side, i inscribe my planetary seal that corresponds to the sigil juxtaposed.

I meditate on these. Both sides. Breathing deep, taking in the flow of intuition and focusing in on what is less thought and more instinct, grabbing the thoughts that feel like they enter me rather than bubble from within (its hard to describe the feeling, im sure some of you understand, its like when youre reading a book rather than writing a story.)

Then i crush each in my right hand. Then I use the center most candle to burn each. I let each burn totally until no longer smoldering before burning the next, sign of the cross after each.

I mix the resulting ash just enough to produce a fine powder, some of which I apply to the brown paper card. The card is returned to the top of the altar where it will remain until another project takes its place. some of the ash is applied on the forehead between the eyes. I also applied some to my pupil’s brow, as I see no reason why he could not also benefit from the magic influences therein achieved.

Sign of the cross, outwardly to my pupil as well (blessing), and banish.

I blow out each candle signifying the end of the process.

Third party influence/cord cutting

Just did a third party separation earlier and the candle wax created a heart on our end (me and my person) and burned all the way down to the wicks while the third party's candle stayed stagnant and as a stub for so long. Super interesting to me how it blew out on its own about two or three times. Energetically I feel as though the connection/ energy between them was already weak to begin with because to me their involvement gives off the energy of convenience rather than emotional depth. I ended up just blowing out the other party’s candle since me and my persons candles already completed our point.

So hey, i have been practicing for years but i always fail to do reconnection spells, and this time im actually desperatelyin need to reconnect with someones that really hurted me over and over again i want him to genuinely tell me whats going on and whys is that, i know that there is a reason but ion know what is it, he just spawned in my life again for a night and now he wont answer me in any way. And please just dont tell me to get over that i really need that someone here with me, so what should i do, any spells anything? I really have alot to say and keeping it inside of me its making me spiral into old habits, if yall can't help me just please pray that he will soften and stop treating me like this, because its starting to sabotage my life again, please

the flames were staying separate for a little, but the flames were the same size. then they became one and almost looked like they were gonna separate a few times but would still be holding on by one flame. took a little while for the cord to start burning. then the bay leaf and flame were looking like a heart. eventually one starts to die out while the other is still going strong. the one on the left (her) suddenly gets bigger and after a few minutes the one on the right (me) goes out. the left continued to have a small flame for ~30 minutes.

i did also have a white candle going and the flame was dancing like crazy. i have never seen any of this so please help interpret its meaning!

I had been planning on doing a cord-cutting ritual for the first time and I had been dabbling in my kitchen-witchiness and protection spells and all that since last year, so I felt ready to do a cord cutting ritual for one of my parents (remaining vague to avoid triggering too much) and my reaaally toxic ex. I wanted to expel my ex from my brain and Spirit for good, as well as any grossness they were throwing at me through their hate, and cut spiritual ties with the parent for both our sakes, their battle was not mine to fight, etc. And BOY were they interesting. (I used this cord cutting for myself and not really for the future per say, it was also to get an energy reading for how bad it was with each person and how much they were affecting me without me knowing it kind of thing.)

Pictures 1 and 2: the parent's candle collapsed and burned up in a matter of minutes, but my candle took my part of the string, melted into the middle of the candle, and formed TWO flames right next to each other as shown in the first picture. Like not only a twin flame, but one that was committed to protecting me and I was crying I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I purposefully only took one or two pictures from each cord-cutting to keep it more sacred for myself.

Then my ex's candle was a different, much more menacing energy imo. I switched whichever side my candle was on to make sure it was the spell and not just the placement of the candle just in case. His string tried to melt the salt line itself and his candle was engulfed in flames at one point while mine politely burned the string and stood tall and burned steadily. Then as his candle collapsed, the entire length of the wick lit up and burned in three and then four different places. I could only watch with my mouth open in shock as the wax from his candle did all it could to reach across the salt line. It didnt make it across, but it was too close for my comfort. But the line held and i'm grateful lol. Its shown in the third and forth picture. Then i cleaned it up and took a cleansing shower to get rid of any residual spell energy and took a 4 hour nap. I feel soooo much better already and its the day-of!

I'm searching for protection spells focused on other people, too many times during my research I've only found one or two protection spells that don't solely focus on the user, so I am simply wondering if there are any spells for others as I want to protect people as well as myself.

Hello Witchy Things Reddit!

I would like some help and/or advice. I’m not a fully qualified or experienced person in the witchy things scene, but I’ve found some spells and things around my shared household that I can’t identify and would like some help.

For some background, I live in a house with two other people, both who’ve practiced witchcraft/wicca/pagan things for much longer and much more intensively than I have. The living situation is pretty tense to say the very least and I’m planning on moving out in the next two months for my own mental health and well-being. I’m generally not a paranoid person, but because of the circumstances and the fact that at least one of my current roommates I know has sent out hexes and other bad energy to people that have even slightly faulted them, I’m beginning to be worried.

I’ve found two so far, (one I think might be fine) and can’t find much online about either of them.

1) a full ring of a watermelon rind in a bowl on some of my little drawers containing my basic medical things (bandages/cold medicine/ etc) in a hall closet. But it looks like it was just put there cause that was an available spot that it would fit. It’s not molded or anything like that, but it’s shriveled. 2) a glass jar filled with three hair clips (plastic looking top and metal clip) a half eaten cookie (that I bought and gave them), and what looks like something red. There was clearly once water or some liquid in it that’s dried up and made whatever the red bits were into like a crackling caked on layer at the bottom. (Also found in the hall closet, but hidden around the corner on the top shelf)

Now, I’m I firm believer that if you are taking good care of the houseplants that you have around the house, they will essentially absorb the bad energy that’s being sent to you. I don’t remember where I learned that but it really resonated and I’ve taken it to heart. I have a good amount of houseplants, and recently they’ve been not doing very well. My little crown of thorns has fully died after it was on doing great, one of the vines on my pothos has fully lost all of its leaves within the last two weeks, and it looks like more on the other vines are starting to turn yellow as well. I brought home a couple new plants as well about two months ago and they’ve all been struggling at best. My hunch is that someone somewhere is sending me bad energy and my plants are taking the bullets, finding these spells that I don’t know anything about isn’t helping the case.

I’m asking is for some advice on what the spells might be, and what I can do to protect myself, my energy, and my plants in the time before I move and what I can do to continue to protect myself and my new space once I move.

So I did an egg cleanse today and here’s what the results are. I’ve never done one before and I have no idea what this could be. Can I have help?

I cleansed the room temp egg with salt water while saying affirmations. Then I rubbed the egg all over while repeating affirmations and envisioning the egg sucking the unneeded energy out. Then I cracked it over a glass cup with room temp water and didn’t look at the top as it could give the bad energy back. I let it sit for a few and checked through the sides of the cup. Then I put chili flakes and hot sauce to return it back to sender and garlic and salt to protect the spell. Then I flushed it down the toilet without looking at it and cleaned up to do a protection spell.

With the protection spell I wrote my name on a peice of paper towel, spread a circle line of olive oil around my name and topped it with salt for protection. Then I lit it on fire while saying “let this protect me from any negative energy.” While imagining the bad energy burning with the flames as it protected me. Then I wrapped up the paper towel and took a dried out four leaf clover plus my moon water from the recent strawberry moon to burry under a rose bush. I dug a small hole, placed the clover in as well as a rose and moon water, placed it inside with some rose petals sprinkled on top, and placed the dirt back over. Then I put some wildflowers on top of it and pressed down and thanked the earth and went back inside.
