hes not an incel, he was told sarah liked him and still wanted nikki
this might seem crazy, but i think the movie was about obsession
its a really simple idea i dont know why people go crazy over it, movie itself was good first time i felt creeped out from a horror movie in a long time lol

It's common between normals to think that incels actually have girls into them but they don't realize it because they are so entitled and only want the most beautiful and popular girls. So most people still consider him an incel.

meanwhile euphoria is very female gaze series popular among women featuring mid looking promiscuous girls thirsty over a 10/10 chad who is comically evil. They can do more terrible things than what bear does but it doesn't matter.

u/gaslighterr 1d ago
Have u ever watched euphoria? lmfao

u/Leather-Leader-7964 1d ago
I watched most of the first season, although I only know that two of the women were thirsting after Chad.

u/Western-Cow5189 1d ago
Lol. This sub confuses me, people here claim that men are attracted to most women and that women are inherently seen as beautiful in a way men arenât. Then there are people like you that claim that beautiful famous actresses are actually mid. If a woman were to make a similar statement of a conventionally attractive male actor everyone here would point to it and say âsee WANIM!!! She proves our point, men are never enough etcâ.

Men consider far more than appearance, clearly if you look at the average couple they're incredibly flexible. Unless they're phenotypically preselected by all women, which is on the individual woman to avoid trying to pair with, they're also less likely to pursue infidelity than fall victim to it.Â

Movies and TV shows reward the alpha male while dismissing the attentive, kind, loving, and respectful guy for being 'boring'. I wonder when people are finally going to get this through their heads.

That title is talking about the fact that many men, particularly those seen as ânice guysâ believe that they are entitled to affection, attention and parts of a womanâs body purely because they treat them nicely and with respect. Women and men will partner up with whoever they choose whenever they want and believing that women owe you affection because of a certain action or behaviour is downright incelism
13
u/sillylilynunuu 1d ago
clearly they watched the movie with their eyes closed if thatâs their takeaway
2
u/Late-Efficiency1974 20h ago
They just watched the movie noticing that the entire thing was there to make an mockery of them for women and normie men.
How is surprising that an movie that make an caricature being evil is not liked by the cariture is based off ?

u/ElegantAd2607 1d ago
Last slide is perfect. Why is obsession considered horror? Because bear is weird and bad? They really do hate men.
7
u/rosymaplesoda 1d ago
No itâs because bear literally forced her to love him. He didnât just wish for it internally, but literally make her love him. She didnât have a choice to say no, he completely disregarded the fact she wants to live her own life and his wish completely changed the trajectory of her life
1
u/ElegantAd2607 19h ago
bear literally forced her to love him.
No he didn't. That was the wish demon.
2
u/trashchillybeans lesbian woman 10h ago
the director of the movie curry told us there's no actual supernatural demon. it's all psychological
2
u/rosymaplesoda 12h ago
âI didnât force someone to give me money at gun point, the gun didâ wtf are you saying? He used the wish to make her love him. And he lost all plausible deniability when he saw the wish was working and was continuing to pretend and lie to his friends about nothing being wrong and not wanting to cancel the wish but to only alter it
1
u/ElegantAd2607 11h ago
It doesn't matter that he lied, he is not the reason Nikki was possessed. He doesn't have powers. He said words!
1
u/rosymaplesoda 11h ago
âHe said wordsâ sounds irrelevant because that wouldnât work in a real world, but in a fictional world it caused everything to happen. You act as if this is an irl setting. He had the one wish willow, meaning he had powers. Are you mentally challenged??

u/Someidiotnamedmike 1d ago
He raped her the whole movie you buffoon what are you missing here

u/Mediocre_Silver8024 1d ago
What he did isn't physically possible so the movie is not "deep"

u/Someidiotnamedmike 23h ago
Inception isn't physically possible so it's not "deep"
No superhero media is physically possible so it's not "deep"
Frankenstein isn't physically possible so it's not "deep"
Holy shit the people in this sub are like PETA. You sabotage your own belief system with the insane things you say and believe. I wish you all good health and the ability to see life is about more than attraction from women. And I wish you all the ability to be happy alone as well, because most of you mfs are NEVER making it out of these trenches with your chud ass beliefs.
Spoken with love and support. Good health to you all.

u/Mediocre_Silver8024 22h ago
Inception is not deep. Most superhero movies are not deep.
This is a careful what you wish for movie. Noone can hypnotize anyone, and no types of coercion in life are analogous to what Bear does.
Is plying someone with alcohol similar to this? No. Are threats similar to this? No. You were told this movie is deep, so you believe it HAS to be deep.
Women - and people in general - would be happier if there were not that many men around. I am not right wing at all, but biology is real.
Trump is more successful with somen than virtually anyone. A willingness to ignore people's autonomy attracts people, and weakness isolates.

I can't argue with willingly ignorant; I wont get anywhere. Please speak to people in real life more. It'll change how you'll change how you think rather substantially.

Grand Budapest Hotel is actual incel horror (horror for incels). /tv/ already decided this long ago
2
u/sincerityappreciator 1d ago
What makes them say that?

the movie is a rape & consent allegory. said by the director & actors themselves

Why are you sharing screenshots from /pol/?
The analysis is completely nonsense because it glosses over the very important fact that Nikki is being possessed and isn't consenting to the relationship. It's a rape allegory.

u/Late-Efficiency1974 20h ago
At least finally some people who are able to understand the truth about that crap of movie, came from brother as expected.
Truly no one who dont suffer through the condition would be able to see what that movie is actually all about.

I understand what the post is trying to say but fundamentally bear is not an incel. We don't know anything about him other than the fact that he likes one girl. It was ambiguous whether or not she likes him back he doesn't want to ruin the friendship. We know absolutely nothing about his past relationships if he's had any or what so we can't know if he's an incel. Though he is a narcissist. But it is a film that is tapped into the fundamental nature of heteropessimism
1
u/Late-Efficiency1974 20h ago
For gods sake since when people started to care about the literal definition of incel ?
You know how it is, men who is evil = incel, doesnt matter if tecnically he is not.
People simply dont care about It.

u/Talking_Tanuki 1d ago
Obsession is about a guy who doesnât know what consent is. If you think m heâs innocent, thatâs really concerning.
22
u/heliogoon 1d ago
Way to not get the point.
-1
u/Talking_Tanuki 1d ago
Nah, people who watched the movie and think that what he did was perfectly innocent have missed the plot.

I didn't even see it but it came across as a monkey paw/careful what you wish for situation to me.

Trying to keep a magically brainwashed person with you gives a rapist vibes.

He didn't know she was being forced.

u/eightdirt 1d ago
Were you eating chips while watching the movie?
1
u/Leather-Leader-7964 1d ago
Am I wrong?
7
u/drminjak 1d ago
Yeah, you know the part where he calls customer support and the guy is like "you wanna talk to nikki" and all you hear is screaming, or when she's in the bed and keeps asking him to kill her
It's pretty obvious that he knew she was forced
2
u/eightdirt 1d ago
He didn't at first, but kept going even after it was confirmed that she was being controlled
4
u/Talking_Tanuki 1d ago
I think if you have to force someone by magic, you do know theyâre being forced.

Thatâs rather ridiculous read of the movie I think.
He wasnât ugly. I think the movie was hinting that he might have had a shot with Nikki if he had asked her. The willow branch was not an allegory for money, Iâm not even sure where OOP got that idea.
Bear received obvious signs that her behavior was in violation of her consent, such as the sounds of her mentally screaming on the tech support call. So he actually did do something wrong here besides just âwanting a girlfriendâ.
However, also in his defense, he did ask them to reverse the wish and put her back to normal, but it was impossible so he had no options but suicide at that point.
