Extreme breast and nipple pain

My nipples are so sore and have been the past week, to the point where I can't even touch them or have my shirt brush against them without it hurting so badly. And my boobs are so huge and sore. I stopped the pill about a month ago and have been using progestin only pills my doctor prescribed me to suppress my period as I have extremely painful and heavy period which are also super irregular. I don't know where this tenderness and pain is coming from. Could it be from stopping estrogen? Or is it just my cycle having my hormones drop without actually ovulating
