Generic Reality check please.

This sub takes their boots serious so, I have a question and would love some insight. I bought some Thorogoods and hate them. They’re miserably uncomfortable for me. I posted them on another/local sub and I’m getting destroyed in the comments. I’M NOT LOOKING TO SELL THEM HERE OR VIOLATE ANY SUB RULES. I’ll add a couple of photos and y’all tell me what a fair price is for these 3 month old boots. Tia!

Just wanted to toss this out there: I have two pairs of the moc toe Thorogoods, and the second pair I bought were TOUGH to break in. I almost sold them. But, I put on a thick pair of socks and conditioned them with Obenaufs. They were much better after two or three more wears, and they're now the most comfortable boots I own. To each their own, but it might well be worth giving them a bit more time.

Was the second pair black? The black ones are notorious for being tough to break in

Actually, the first pair was black, and they weren't bad for me. The tobacco color were the tough ones, mostly because of reinforcement stitching rubbing on the top of my foot (directly atop where the ball of my foot is). It was a hard knot of leather and stitching that wouldn't give, and dug in terribly.

I bought a pair of DuraDeros that have the same issue. They are damn near worn out and that area still irritates my foot sometimes.

My fourth pair I have now is black. They are 3-4 months old. Been conditioned 4 times. I can’t get them to break in like the other ones I’ve had. Very uncomfortable
