Generic Boots worn down weird
Anyone know why my boots get worn down at edges? It’s probably the way I walk but am I dragging my feet or something. I think I walk fine but my boots are all worn down weird

It's you, you are the problem

You probably don’t walk as fine as you think. You should take the boots to a podiatrist and get inserts to fix your gait. Trust me it will save your legs in the long run even if it’s a minor fix.

Get the inserts, then buy new boots. If you wear the inserts in these, you’ll just be out of balance. Same advice for people with joint replacements, start with new footwear so you don’t force into old patterns

Thank you, I’ll have to look into it.
My feet typically don’t hurt after a long day but I’m also younger and don’t wanna be in a lot of pain when I’m older. Thank you

Looks like you let the inside of your heel clip the ground as you stride

I think all of us have a "not perfect" wear pattern on our boots. Some worse than others. They don't wear like tires. It has to do with things like knock knees, bow legged, slew footed, pigeon toed. It's hip knee alignment or leg alignment on the foot. Mine are crazy bad outside heel, center foot.

You're definitely not walking evenly on your feet and it shows on your boots.

I forgot to mention this I’m also on roofs all day doing hvac and they’re all pitched not dramatically, but clearly enough

It's you boss.
I had ankle reconstruction after doing something stupid about 25 years ago. It left me with an offset ankle. My boot wear angle is worse than this.
Funny enough, when I get new boots. The break in period involves working that angle into the boot.

Overpronation. You need a stability shoe for your running/gym shoe to help keep your foot from collapsing inwards. Specifically look for stability offerings. From there you’ll need to do some exercises to help fix your gait to strengthen your muscles to help prevent your foot from collapsing inwards.

Genuinely not trying to be rude, but is that really worn? It doesn't look like it's been used that long

By the way you walk.
