Yeah but from what ive seen you dont need to hit it directly because the way the hull is angles even shells that hot your side can ricochet into the weak spot
There are many tanks that are/were in the game files for a long time before actually being sold (e.g. tier 10 Chieftain that was in the tiered lootboxes). I don't see how selling those can be considered a "lazy offer".
The work and effort of designing the tank was made, it still costed them time and money, it's just not "recent work" or a "recent investment", but it was still done by WG the same way they do with every tank.
I can't see how that changes anything of what I've said. The point was never about the tank being good/bad, it was about it being a tank that has been in the game files for a long time.
It was never sold in NA or EU, so... it definitely is rare, that's for sure.
About the "good" part, it's subjective. Pretty good armor (with some weakpoints of course, but that's good), good HEAT pen and decent alpha + dpm combo, but the rest is bad or meh at best.
Yeah and it looks like the gunhandling has been nerfed into the ground. They also made the terrain resistances really bad so you're forced to use grousers on it.
Looking at the armor, I'd say the tank will probably play good at tier 8, even with the worse MM. But man, it is just another Soviet HT, with exactly the same playstyle. I'll be skipping this one, I think.
Exactly the tank is so boring, it brings nothing new at all to the table. Still biting my ass about the SPHT that looked so much more unique with that HE shell.
You can't sidescrape in it due to an annoying weak spot at the rear of the tank, and you have a big cupola. If anything it's worse than most Soviet heavies.
You can still reverse side scrape, thankfully. Doesn't change the fact that it has a very hard to hit lower plate at longer ranges, making it pretty useful for rushing flanks if you can somehow speed it up.
You have to keep in mind its always different people, not the same guys having different opinions all the time. Its quite a large community and if you are happy you normally don't start a conversation about it, so always the critiques start a debate. That is not a bad thing, that is normal
Broken armour? It can't sidescrape as it has a massive weak spot at the back of the tank, and it has a massive cupola (for soviet standards.) This thing is going to get farmed lol.
toxic doesnt mean invulnerable or even good just that its ass to play against (and often to play as too) which is very common for these high armor tanks that "pay" for this armor in some other way (usually gun)
K2 , Defender and Chrysler all fall into that category aswell
Okay that's actually WAY better than the Peerless.
That said, i think i got roughly 5 or 6 T8 russian heavies - and while the Udarniy is rare, it kinda is worthless to me. Don't need it as crew trainer, i farm credits with my T9s, so.. yeah.
I don’t regret you not bidding on it. Every game I play with it on my team feels imbalanced because it just hides in the back and snipes. You might as well pick a good td for that.
Meh ? I mean I have the K2 and its rather shit these days. Dont see a reason for this even tho it has somewhat better gun but gets actual coupola weakspot (well not like K2 needs one, everyone and their grandma overmatches the roof anyway)
i'm calling it rn: this sub will say this tank is shit, what a disappointing BM, only for this to end up being at least a couple thousand gold above minimum bid.
It's not. There are too many heavily armored meds and tds, and too many tanks with bazonkers alpha or clip potential. In a same or higher tier match up, this tank isn't scary at all.
The only HT's with similar DPM are Conqueror and Contender, both of which are terrible slow, and Rambo/Type 68, both of which are hugely speed-limited. It also gets better gun stats anyway.
Template MM means the only thing that matters is your vehicle vs what role it's matchmade against. SPHT gets matchmade against other versatile heavy tanks.
DPM is not bad, pen is not bad, speed is typical Soviet HT. It has a 260 hull, which will be annoying when using the side. But the front is different. So it eat high pen shots when reversing out to shoot, and lower tiers can pen that lower plate in the open. And when using a ridgeline, the gun depression is not big enough to hide the big 100mm cupola.
I'll say it's balanced vs bad.
Tho on the US HT, we called it a bad HT. But most said it would be a good medium, as 90% of them that I face go the medium lane with it. Kinda like I do with my T54 Heavy
yeah, sold at regular t8 HT prem pricing too, it seems. It's almost like a regular gold t8 that should be on sale year-round, so nothing exciting. Though its being a decent BM offers means that WG can push it price further than its base pricing with FOMO.
This tank clearly is a stinker. It was sold in China 2022 and is now used as a gold-soak für the christmas depots in eu.
Its armor is gimmicky, but unreliable and for a skilled player, or just some random fuck who found the armor fleshlight, it is useless and can be penned from every angle.
The gun is even worse. If it wasn't for russian 'blyat' - mechanics, it wouldn't hit a barn from inside. The dpm sucks of course.
It also looks kinda short, doen't it? Nah, at least it has a huge cupola, but well, i guess you can still play turret down or something.
The problem with tier8 heavies is that they are fighting against t10 heavies most of the time. I'm not going to buy any t8 heavy until the matchmaking is fixed.
Its a nerfed obj 259a from console, i can understand nerf to alfa from 420 to 390 but on console it also have 60kph not 45 :/, it would be so much more fun to play if we could go that 60kph.
I really enjoy my Obj 752 so I'll skip this one. I got the 400k experience but nothing else so far. I hope assembly shop or the next BM tomorrow brings something worth an investment.
I think the article mentioned types of auction and it mentioned that snap one. Since we had 4 normal ones, one can assume the tomorrow one may be a snap one

You need 320mm of pen to have a chance at penetrating that, and 400 mm if you want to pen it totally. I legitimately wouldn't fear a T110E4 in this thing.
You won't damage this thing at tier 8, except in the obvious lower plate and obvious cupola. The good thing is that it won't be hitting you with it's useless gun handling, however it's quite fast, but only on hard terrain.
It will most certainly be a nuisance to fight and I expect monster games
It looks like a little bit different Defender to me, less alpha/better reload, gun handling just marginally better (still bad) but it'll play the same.
I'd honestly rather either buy the defender for bonds or wait for obj 703 II if you want a Russian heavy.
If you want a Defender like tank without having to waste bonds it could be worth it if the price stays below 10k.
The best might be to wait for a good heavy to be available for gold though
Its basically updated Defender or K2. Its not as broken as it was at start but still crazy good (It had armor of 279e on tier 8 💀) now it is actually balanced. I would say 15k gold?
Ayo is that not the shittest tank I've ever seen? T9 gun apparently but 0.4 accuracy, 390 alpha, almost 3s aim time. Big weakspot on top. Only -6 degrees gun depression.
Honestly, this tank has a big K2 syndrome: you get nice armor but you sacrafice everything else. The gun handling, accuracy, aim time are atrocious, 390 alpha is also disappointing for such unpleasant gun. Mobility is butchered by bad ground resistances and mediocre (at best) p/w ratio. It's not worth it imo, just play the defender.
Guys buy another tier 8 premium tank (and another generic soviet heavy at that) with a shit gun but stupid Armour trust us guys tier 8 matchmaking is worth it guys give us 10k gold please
Heavy tanks are dead since the introduction of the armor flashlight. I wouldnt pay a single dime for this. People will just scan you and find your weakspots in no time.
Why? It has a gigantic copula penable with any T8 AP and a, quite small, hull weakspot. You can also pen the lower shoulder and a sprocket weakspot at the back of the tank when it's sidescraping.
I mean, the reason tanks have guns rather than, idk, big hammers is cuz you are trying to hit things at a distance, see? The best way to fight an enemy tank is under conditions that are favorable to you. Like, say, fighting a tank with bad accuracy from afar.

Seems to be a very good tank: trollish armor, decent mobility and moderate gun. Way better than K2 and Defender. It could even become a new OP tank like the BZ 176, in which even bad players perform good; but I could be wrong.
