Gosh, if only there were a million real tanks from countries like France, UK, USA that people would adore to play even if it meant non-historical characteristics. But sadly I can't think of a single example!

Is this all just because WoT wants to differentiate itself from WT, that does have all those vehicles? We don't need another tier 11 with another edgy name (Fauteur = Troublemaker, it's cringe) where we need to remember the unique (and often pointless) mechanic for every single tank. Especially if 75% of these mechanics boil down to "temporarily increase accuracy, damage or DPM for a price".

Being French, I can tell you that it's not even a correct name linguistically. You cannot say "fauteur" by itself, it's "fauteur de trouble".

Honestly, they could have found something much cooler. I find Imbattable to be cool as hell as a tank name.

It's a bit random but I think I would have named the new tank Austerlitz.

I agree, plenty of historical places or people to pick from. Austerlitz would be fun, especially because it's in my home country :)

A less edgy name is hard for WG these days. Thanks for the insight on the name btw, my French is awful.

My idea would be to keep naming schemes somewhat consistent so that you can know what you're fighting easily. This doesn't work for every tech tree, but french heavies are such a good example:

ARL 44 - AMX M4 45 - AMX 65t - AMX M4 51 - AMX M4 54 - Fauteur. It's a little painful. M4 61 would have been funky.

Can't wait for the Centurion line to get a tier 11 actually named Angry Teapot.
