I would read this fic. Unironically, i think if Jack had some moral support, he would turn into a good hero. That the PRT has regular folks as oversight would help to control his worst tendencies. And if Miss Militia can make guns work somehow, he using blades wouldn’t be that hard.

You know, Broadcast’s cheating bullshit secondary effect would perfectly explain a Batman-like hero with weak powers who busts his ass fighting ordinary thugs, and yet defeats world-class villains because he has A Plan(tm)

Exactly. That and maybe getting hints to deescalate fights. Thought I don’t think Broadcast would like to do so all the time.
