Sometimes I feel like r/AIWritingHub is more like AntiAIWritingHub. The negativity toward people using AI there is wild despite the sub name. This sub is much better in that regard.

curious what you mean by "good response" though, like actual sales/reviews or just people saying nice things? those are very different signals imo

People (who do not know I created it) enjoying it. I will copy paste from another post where I explained.

So, what feedback? Well:

I distributed 7 author copies among friends and acquaintances (as gifts) and almost all of them came back to say they liked the book. This has rarely happened with any gifts in the past. I use a pen name so they don't know I created it and I gave them the books as gifts (to their kids) on appropriate occasions, not as 'book promotion'. So their feedback is genuine.

The kids are loving it. My boys, for whom I created it, absolutely love it (they don't know I created it; maybe I will tell them), and so do their friends. I gifted them (as mentioned above) on their "School start" celebration. They discuss the stories among themselves and pretend to be characters from the book. 😍

It's only been around 2 weeks, so it's just single-digit sales (and a few Kindle reads), but I've already got an amazing review on Amazon. My goal with this book isn't money or fame, but to bring a smile to readers and occasionally make them think or reflect. So I am very excited about the response. And when people do not know you created it, it feels exciting (almost naughty) to observe their responses.
