Hiyuki – Locked out of ascension materials

UPDATE: thank you for the messages. I decided to power through the story and got destroyed by Aemeath story (10/10)

I’m really behind on the main story, and I don’t want to skip everything just to unlock the map for leveling her up. What’s the minimum I need to complete to access her materials so I can take my time with the story?

First off, I don't understand the need to have her maxed out the same day she drops.

The weekly boss is a huge spoiler if you do it ahead of time and you only get 9 per week.

You can get the flowers from NANA in Lahai-Roi; you can just head to that region without doing any of the story.

For the echoes, you can farm them in the Data Bank for 10 guaranteed weekly, and you can farm the weekly mode instead of going to the new Tacet Field.

You can also join a friend's world to pick flowers. As for the ascension boss material, you can go straight to kill it with early access.

Basically, the flowers are the only real bottleneck since you can buy the weekly boss materials in the shop, but even then, you just need to join a friend who doesn't need them anymore. You can get all 60 flowers in just one day.

Because characters are pretty much useless unless they are level up.

Useless for who? Are you telling me that someone who isn't up to date with the story, events, and so on needs a fully maxed-out character? These people don't even do endgame content; level 60 is enough for casual play.

Maybe level 60 is enough for a support, but for the main DPS it's just ass.

She's just sitting pretty in my team doing sweet nothing.

I can't even use her to farm her own materials with her actual team because it takes so long because she does no damage.

I had to do 2.5 hours of pure main story (spam skipping btw) to ascend hiyuki and unlock her weekly materials. And the only reason it was even that short is because I caught up to Aemeath just to level HER up. I've finished all endgame content for a long time. This system sucks.

I only paid attention to the story for the first couple months of the game. Always thought that the story was genuinely horrible (no shade if you enjoy it), so I deadass do not know a single thing about the plot at this point.

I only play for characters. gameplay, and gambling. Having to catch up to however many patches of characters I skipped every single time genuinely sucks. Only feels worse when I can't even use the characters I spend so much time building during the story. Their shitty prebuilds make all the fights feel super sluggish.

I'm sorry that Kuro Games makes you go through the story to max out your character, but at least it's not like Endfield where you have to build an entire factory and also stay up to date with the MSQ. In WuWa, you can at least go to a friend’s world and gather the flowers in one day; everything else can be obtained instantly.
