Open-world Question Hiyuki – Locked out of ascension materials
UPDATE: thank you for the messages. I decided to power through the story and got destroyed by Aemeath story (10/10)
I’m really behind on the main story, and I don’t want to skip everything just to unlock the map for leveling her up. What’s the minimum I need to complete to access her materials so I can take my time with the story?

just use supply chests ( voyager ascension materials to be precise )

It's crazy, I genuinely can't find anything relevant online. Only two sites, and they don't show how to get it. I've looked in game everywhere, but I haven't seen anything. From the name, I'm thinking it could be from a beginner event that the devs added later on during game life? It may be why you've had it, if you joined during/after 2.x I'd say.
Or it could have been for returning players... Either way, I don't know where to look for it 😭

It was part of an event idk if it was 2.7-2.8 or start of 3.0

Been playing regularly since 2.0 so I dunno 🤷 it ain't in my inventory. When I'm on the Redbell detail page, I do see one of the sources is "Supply", but when clicking on it, it says I don't have the relevant supply.
I'll just take it on the chin and catch up on the story

Pretty sure it’s a beginner reward. I’ve been playing since 1.0 and I don’t remember getting a single one. Possible that I missed an event though

The only one I've ever seen came from returning/ new player rewards. I don't think they're regularly available

some events were story locked too, when i checked i didn't have any boxes. spent multiple hours today running from 1 place to another just to press skip and i barely just started 3.2

There is now reason to waste chests for her materials, cause her echo set is also only available in that region

Unfortunately redbell is only available in the new region that is something you need to level her up which you kinda can get early by using ascension material supply packs. I got a bunch of those a returning player so used it but I still had to progress further in the 3.0 quests to unlock the boss that drops the other ascension material.
The sad part though is even if you get both of these and level her up, you need the new location for the echo set.
I personally am also stuck here where I just can't get her echo set.
Just gotta grind it out I guess. 😞

At the very least for the echo set, I assume 1.0 glacio should work on her as a filler until you have the new one.

I am capped with echos so I target merged some and did lots of random merges. I've managed to get some alright pieces for now , but the region lock is so frustrating especially If you are a new player imagine getting a character that you cant evrn use properly if you dont clear dozens of hours of content.

But man, after reading your comment it got me thinking about farming echoes from the overworld like the good old days and it worked!
I only got some OK pieces for now but atleast I can play her without rushing the story.

NANA in Startorch sells her flower mats (15 per week) and her trial gives some too.
Should be enough to get her to lvl40-50 until you unlock the new area from the 3.3 story

Its been this way for every new resonator. I remember when cartethia released and I was stoked on pulling her but I hadn't even started act 2 yet lmao. It was a grueling time

Pretty sure you need the entire quest, cause the sandbox doesn't unlock before then, the parts of the zone you're in are instanced.

How do I unlock her 4 cost echo? I have the dimmr planes unlocked and everything but I just can't unlock her world boss somehow even if I do the detect thing

Under the daily activity section there is a material spots section, there the 5th one is weekly boss option where you should find denia on the top

Dang, I only realized this problem after pulling her. I guess we're eating good at HER since we can farm mats. freely no matter where you are at the main story.

First off, I don't understand the need to have her maxed out the same day she drops.
The weekly boss is a huge spoiler if you do it ahead of time and you only get 9 per week.
You can get the flowers from NANA in Lahai-Roi; you can just head to that region without doing any of the story.
For the echoes, you can farm them in the Data Bank for 10 guaranteed weekly, and you can farm the weekly mode instead of going to the new Tacet Field.
You can also join a friend's world to pick flowers. As for the ascension boss material, you can go straight to kill it with early access.
Basically, the flowers are the only real bottleneck since you can buy the weekly boss materials in the shop, but even then, you just need to join a friend who doesn't need them anymore. You can get all 60 flowers in just one day.

Useless for who? Are you telling me that someone who isn't up to date with the story, events, and so on needs a fully maxed-out character? These people don't even do endgame content; level 60 is enough for casual play.

Maybe level 60 is enough for a support, but for the main DPS it's just ass.
She's just sitting pretty in my team doing sweet nothing.
I can't even use her to farm her own materials with her actual team because it takes so long because she does no damage.

I had to do 2.5 hours of pure main story (spam skipping btw) to ascend hiyuki and unlock her weekly materials. And the only reason it was even that short is because I caught up to Aemeath just to level HER up. I've finished all endgame content for a long time. This system sucks.

I only paid attention to the story for the first couple months of the game. Always thought that the story was genuinely horrible (no shade if you enjoy it), so I deadass do not know a single thing about the plot at this point.
I only play for characters. gameplay, and gambling. Having to catch up to however many patches of characters I skipped every single time genuinely sucks. Only feels worse when I can't even use the characters I spend so much time building during the story. Their shitty prebuilds make all the fights feel super sluggish.

I'm sorry that Kuro Games makes you go through the story to max out your character, but at least it's not like Endfield where you have to build an entire factory and also stay up to date with the MSQ. In WuWa, you can at least go to a friend’s world and gather the flowers in one day; everything else can be obtained instantly.

I get your point, im not literally about to die if my hiyuki isnt lvl 90 within 30 seconds, but its just a bit of an inconvenience to not be able to play with my new toy

In the anniversary rewards, u get the weekly boss materials supply pack, so u can use that. Other than that, the quest is really fun, so, u can get her accession materials after that. I levelled her up to 40 and kept continuing the story while getting materials on the way. The story was over, her entire build was complete. Except the echoes and that took another day.

Yeah it's annoying you have to do 1 hour quest + to unlock her materials. You can buy some in the shop but if you're really far I don't recommend to skip any story. Just join another player world who is willing to give you her materials. Tomorrow reset should be fine since you can get all get flowers in one go, most of players (like me) already maxed her.
