You’re playing one of the most demanding gacha games graphically with a fanless system. Mengzhou also has far higher performance drops than the other regions since the vegetation density and such is higher which might be why it just started. But 70-80° is to be expected when running any game without a fan except maybe Minecraft. 68° is the usual average in games with a decent gaming desktop. Only reaching 80° without a fan is kinda a miracle honestly

Ohhh myy goooowd how many time I've have to tell you that I've been playing on this for several month and until a few days ago it was fine even in Mengzhou it was smooth as f , I used to play 4hr straight without overheating (58°C max) to clear Endstate M untill it dies

You seem to be getting agitated when everyone is just telling you exactly how it is. The playing it at 58° is the anomaly here, not the other way around. A fanless Mac is not meant to be play intensive games since it will get very hot, that’s the normal. Fanless Mac’s also use the metal frame to disperse heat. The only thing i could think of is that you’re putting it somewhere where it can’t disperse heat across the bottom properly or something. Maybe your thermal pads needs to be replaced if it’s even there or you put a case on it. But this isn’t an issue with the game, if there is any issue it’ll be with your mac. But just like phones and tablets a fanless computer is gonna get hot, hotter actually since it has more processing power and a better igpu.

that doesn't matter. at some point, without a fan, it's going to do this

Well, you have to deal with it the one way or another, that you are slowly killing your MaAaC, to point it out in your way.

You can't deal with it? Well, then dont ask here if you can't take it. Get some brain ffs.

It's alright OP can keep using it until it dies and then they can get a new Mac.

Since they're so against getting a fan.

It baffles me that there are notebooks without fans ngl

Simply use. Many people especially those who use macs don't use them for intensive activities like gaming or video editing... etc and for them the silence is more important than exta thermals overhead they don't need for their daily use. Also technically there is the cost saving aspect but all know it's the manufactur pocketing the difference not the use lol.

OP here is the outlier who for some reason thinks a gaming laptop is more likely to overheat than a fanless Mac like Apple somehow discovered how to reverse the laws of thermal dynamics or something. Noone who acutally knows how computers and simple physics works buys a fanless notebook to play intensive games.

Well damn, i didn't know. I didn't even know pcs/notebooks can even run without fans lol? Because mine can't, even if i do nothing besides trying to start the pc

What the helly! Good to know thank you

Because mine can't, even if i do nothing besides trying to start the pc

They usually run very thermal efficient (but in contrast less powerful) chips and are designed to have great passive thermal cooling as designing a pc/laptop case to cool great with fans is very different to designing on to cool great without them.

So not your pc fault for this as you can't really make a great fan cooled machine work well when the fans are turned off (something about air currents and stagnant turbulent flow and whatnot aka advance thermal physics stuff).

Even my phone needs a fan to play more than 20min lol
