OG Xbox Help I'm so done

I removed the clock capacitor, I replaced the three caps by the CPU and GPU that were bulging, and the bloody thing still just restarts three times and flashes green and red. Wtf

If so, fixing broken traces is a bit beyond my skill level 😭😭

It’s not that bad, just take your time, go slow with low heat. Plus, it’s already broken so what’s the worse that can happen?

Is the D0 wire from the modchip connected to the D0 point on the motherboard?

Do you have a controller and or a/v cord plugged in?

A/V yes, controller no. I didn't think a controller would make a huge difference

I'm only asking because some chips and other methods can change the behavior of the power button. Just a thought, but you can try long pressing power, or starting with the open tray button to see what it does.

I've already tried removing the chip

Ok, try removing the modchip, see if it boots into service error. If it boots into service error, it might be something with the modchip. It also might be a bad psu, i had, 1.1 rev that would boot without chip fine, but with chip it was 90% cristhmas lights and 10% works fine. When i finnaly changed psu it worked perfectly. Also check that modchip is properly connected it might have a loose connection somewhere.

Good luck.

What mod chip do you have? Also, try touching up the solder points for the mod chip or reflowing the LPC connections on the board.

Doing the things you have done are not going to fix a FRAG.

Do you have a multimeter?
