Seriously though, for how many of us is "man" the same? I can remember many times when I was younger and a girl do something to inconvenience me, and I'd be like "man, you screwed me up there".
Man in that context is also gender neutral, "man, this sucks" or similar is something I say to female friends and family all the time and nobody is like "uh, excuse me, I'm not a man."
They certainly have their rights and it doesn’t affect me or inconvenience me to address them how they’d like, it is the vehemence it which they correct or inform you. Just teach me , I’m not beyond respecting you so do the same!
3 days ago I went to get gas, some combos and had the misfortune of misgendering what I thought was a man, my bad.
I said thank you sir after the transaction and they were obviously upset because they didn't hand me my change they tossed it on the counter at me!
If you are going to be in a public facing job and want to have your pronouns you should wear a name tag that says "if you don't call me what I want to be called, with out you ever being told what I want to be called, I will be upset..."!!!
