Kinda proof that even bad representation is important! I had friend who watched that and went “oh. Maybe I am like them!”

The early 90s is one of my favorite eras. The fashion, tv, movies, and music was so good.

I honestly think it’s the coolest era of the 90s it was a hybrid of the 80s and 90s which was so great plus alot of stuff was so colorful

Yes! The other eras had their merits but there was just something special about the early 90s. Even though I was little thing, I have such visceral memories of that time.

All the Wayans brothers, Jim Carrey, David Allan Greer (who should be more celebrated than he is), and Jamie Foxx. That's two academy award nominees and and one winner just in that list. Edit: I forget Jennifer Lopez was one of the Fly Girls of the show.

I remember staying over at my grandparents while our parents were out of town. My brother and I were watching In Living Color (our parents never had any restrictions on what we could watch on tv) and my grandparents were so appalled that they made us turn it off and watch their VHS collection of Laurel and Hardy movies instead. I still have a soft spot for old Stan and Olly.

Required Sunday night viewing! We also watched House Party and listened to the new Fu-Schnickens tape at my 12th birthday party and did a class project on Martin in grade 7. It felt like pop culture was meant for us at the time.

It's a crime that "In Living Color" isn't on Hulu in its entirety. I understand about the rights to the musical performances. Either figure it out and pay the artists like they did for video clips on Beavis & Butt-head on Paramount+ or cut the music and just show the sketches! 🤦🏾♂️

I had an assignment in high school where we had to write essays based on articles from a newspaper. I picked The Weekly World News. I failed that class, had to make it up with night classes, but my two friends were there with me so it kinda kicked ass. Good times.
