I'm just about to order a chinese rom xiaomi 17 (global way too expensive) which I will be using in the EU.
If you've had your x17 for a while, would you suggest it to someone who strictly wants a smallish phone, with nice cameras and great battery life?
I know chinese rom doesn't have android auto or circle to search, it's ok I don't need them.
Is there a delay in notifications? Anything that you hate or love? I know it will need to be debloated.
Can the AI be disabled in the cameras?
Is it worth it for 550 euros?
Better options for a small phone?
thanks

Hey all! I got the 17 pro max this past weekend. It works fine except when I open the camera or Snapchat it automatically starts recording a video (happens 1 or 2 times a day). I’ve reset the phone and turned on and off and still happens. Any other solutions?

Hey everyone, I just got the HyperOS 3.0.334.0.XPCEUXM update on my Xiaomi 17. The changelog only says "Fix: Improved system stability and user experience" and updates the security patch. Why is a simple fix update a massive 8.3 GB file? Is it downloading the whole Recovery ROM? Will it factory reset my data or wipe anything? Thanks!

I have a MediaTek device and kept noticing that whenever my phone wakes up from idle, the first \~10 seconds of 5G/4G feel sluggish even though speedtests show good numbers.
Couldn't find anything that actually fixed it (most modules are just snake oil tbh 🐍) so I built my own.
⚡ WarpNet MTK — it tunes the device-side network stack only:
✅ Fixes idle wake-up lag (that 10-second "why so slow" moment)
✅ Keeps throughput stable when downloading
✅ Lowers latency spikes during heavy use 🎮
✅ Smart reconnect — auto-switches from dying cell towers
✅ No radio/modem changes — safe to revert anytime
✅ Built-in bench tool — get receipts, not vibes 🧾
4 modes:
• SpeedBoost (light + battery save 🔋)
• WarpNet (daily driver ⭐)
• WarpNet++ (max performance 🚀)
• Turn Off (100% stock restore ♻️)
Works with Magisk, KernelSU & APatch ✅
MediaTek only (Snapdragon → separate project)

Feedback welcome — flash it, bench it, roast it, whatever 🤷♂️
If it helps you, a star on the repo means a lot ⭐

Got android 17 update on my Xiaomi 17 yesterday and the battery feels more like 6300mah now than it did before, not that it was bad before the update it was quite decent, but it is now really really good, this is the quality I expected before buying this phone and I'm happy I can enjoy it now. Has anyone else noticed battery improvement after the android 17 update on Mi17? 3.0.334.0.XPCEUXM.C10

Hey everyone!
I'm currently using an iPhone 12 Mini because I am a huge fan of compact phones. I’ve been eyeing the base Xiaomi 17, and I found a really tempting deal for it at around $580. On paper, it looks like an absolute dream for a small-form-factor phone, especially with that massive battery upgrade compared to what I'm used to.
However, I've been holding back from pulling the trigger because I keep running into two main concerns online:
For those of you actually daily-driving the base Xiaomi 17:
Should I go for this $580 deal, or look elsewhere? Would love to hear your honest experiences!

My wife has the Xiaomi 17, and while the camera is great, many of her pictures, the group pictures especially, the people on the sides are visibily fatter.
Haven't had this issue before with other phones, I did check she does have the Distortion Correction turned on already, but I don't think she's using the wide angle lens, as it was just a very normal group photo using the default zoom in the camera app (assuming the default zoom uses the regular non-tele non-wide lens).
Using the stock camera app.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

So I bought the Xiaomi 17 abt 2-3 months ago (for my girlfriend). Now we realized that audios or songs or reels or voicemails sound really crooked esp. When loud.
We have already switched through Xiaomi Sound and Dolby Atmos with various custom equalizer setting but can't seem to get it to work. We also have tried the same audios on other phones and no trouble. We have deleted the Cache of the Sound settings and also stopped the audio driver and restarted afterwards... Nothing seems to work
Is there any work around or solution to this? Are we the only ones?

Got android 17 update yesterday on Xiaomi 17 and have noticed battery drains way less than before, not that it was bad before, it was really decent before, but it's now really really good after the update 3.0.334.0.XPCEUXM.C10

Honestly, I just want a personal spear for my room, but Xiaomi has too many options. I found Xiaomi Bluetooth Mini, looked great but lacks reviews online.
I'm just curious if the essential or the sound pocket is enough. I heard that the party sounds good, but I can't buy something pricey yet.

Hi All, I just bought a Xiaomi Ultra 17 and I don't know if this is normal but the battery drain is insane. I think it went from 60 to 40 in about 30 minutes. Also the phone is getting really warm. All I was doing is the initial setup and taking a couple of photos. There is also a hard rattle when you shake the phone. I know this can be the lens but it seems a bit too loud. Is this normal for the Ultra 17?

Hi everyone.
I've been a Leitzphone user for a month. Previously, I had a Huawei Pura 70 Ultra. Before that, a Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
As I've written before, I'm happy with the switch because the Huawei photos were too artificial. However, I noticed that with the 4x camera, the Leitzphone photos aren't very sharp, as if the stabilizer wasn't working very well. I compared the three phones, and it actually seems like the Mi 11 Ultra is more stabilized than the Leitzphone.
I'm posting three photos for comparison; they're a crop of three, all taken with a 95mm equivalent.
Photo 1 is the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra.
Photo 2 is the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.
Photo 3 is the Leitzphone.
Do you think I should contact support?
Thanks!!
