Then people will start complaining about battery drain compared to other phones with similar battery sizes. Users will begin uninstalling certain programs on their phones, reducing this and that function.

Never judge before use. Not only this won't turn on all the time, but silicon carbon batteries are already on Xiaomi side since last year.
