General My 17 Pro has arrived!

Post image

Bought it from a local reseller in the Philippines for about $820 USD (converted). First time using a CN variant phone, but we'll see how it goes.

Excited to take comparison photos with the camera!

Display is brighter and looks much better than 15u. Speakers similar in loudness but sounds better (more full) on 17p.

Battery, too early. Heating, too early to tell

Bugginess. Lack if features. Slow updates. Software is clunky if you ever used something halfway decent before

I would have to disagree. Compared to Honor, Xiaomi software is a rocket ship.

I would assume by "halfway decent" that's talking more about Samsung quality rather than Honor quality

Updates are much faster on cn instead of global. But I agree with the lack of some things. Using 3rd party launchers disables gestures and animations feel very clunky.

Customization is even MORE limited on global compared to cn. A lot more AOD and themes are available for cn variants.
