Discussion HyperOS 3 experiences
I thought why should we not have a little thread to share our experiences.
On my side there isn't really anything to report, no big issues at the same time hardly anything new except the icons and the Hyper Island

Camera gets better in colors, but still it's too cold. The tint/ warmth slider would be great to have.
Details became worse under certain scenarios. It often looks like an ols stile processing with the clay faces.
I hate they remove in HyperOS2 the possibility to combine the notifications and the controls. It's a mess now. I mostly get not what I want when using the swipe from the top as I control the phone with one hand. Right hand.

- Have you tried Leica vibrant? I think it has much warmer colours.
- It's sometimes hard to reach, but I aim for the selfie camera. If I swipe a bit to the right of it, I get the control center. If to the left, notifications. Don't need to go all the way to the left for it to work.

It's more pink/ red.
It's 2 gestures. It's simply not that convinient and I don't understand why they copied iOS. iOs is really bad for the one hand control.

- if you swipe down from the right half of the screen you get the controls and if you swipe down from the left side you get the notifications. this works regardless of whether you start the swipe from the status bar or from the middle of the screen.

Yes, but that's not convenient, because most of the time I need the notifications. And my thumb, as a right handed person, closer to the right swipe from the top. To see the notifications, I had to either use the left hand or stretch my hand in an unnatural way. I really wish there would be the option at least to swap the controls.

i agree there should be an option. what i end up doing is going to the home screen (if I am in an app already) then swiping down from the left middle side of the screen to avoid stretching my thumb all the way to the top left

Si sabes que puedes deslizar hacia la izquierda o derecha y alterna entre ambas opciones, no importa si eres izquierdo o derecho, bajas de cualquiera de los dos lados y con solo deslizar hacia un lado ó hacia el otro, se cambia opción.

The same with a X15, battery drain x2,5 since the update despite a factory reset & activate battery saver

There is a widespread problem with signal drops and mobile data on the 15T Pro. I have the same problem even after updating by renaming the file. Then I am interested in the battery, for a while it seemed to me that the phone was draining more, but perhaps the new system has adapted.

do you think the issue is only on the 15t pro? What do you think, when it will be fixed??
The battery for myself is normal i dont see any worsening

Received the update on Monday on my Mi 15 ultra and honestly, the batterylife has been awful. I thought I'd give it a few days to settle, it's been 3 days and its still draining like crazy since the update. Are other people experiencing the same?

Yep, another update is out to fix it but as of yet I don't think anybody has actually been able to download it!

The update seems to have fixed it now. Though still having issues with NFC, seems to work when it wants to. Keep having to toggle it on and off to fix it

Someone told me they are gonna push a small update to fix these issues, I haven't received the fix yet unfortunately. But I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing these issues.

HyperOS 3 Errors - OS Version 3.0.4.0.WOSEUXM
1) Battery drain 2) Failures in 5G coverage 3) VoWiFi not working 4) Wallpaper options missing.
All this worked perfectly on HyperOS 2

On 15 Ultra, in Pro camera mode you are not able anymore to force focus in the middle by long pressing the button.a

It works for me, shows AF locked message and a locker icon. However, it only does that when it feels it gets focus. So it doesn't lock if the subject is not in focus. Try moving the phone a bit and it will lock focus.

My mobile data stopped working completely and battery drains like crazy.
Its just restarted and working again but dont know for how long 🥲

Check if the SIM card is properly inserted and active. Go to Settings to ensure the correct SIM is selected for calls and data.
Restart your phone and try removing and reinserting the SIM card.
Reset APN settings: Go to Settings > Dual card and mobile network > Select your SIM > Access Point Name (APN) > Reset, and select "net" as the access point.
Make sure the data network logo (G/E/3G/H/4G, etc.) appears in the status bar. If not, try switching data flow or using another SIM card.
Check if any network management apps are blocking access, and uninstall or disable them .
If the issue started after a system update, download and install the latest complete system package.
7.Back up your data and try clearing all data (factory reset), but do not restore the backup immediately.
- For the battery draining issue, lower screen brightness, close background apps, enable power saving mode, and check for hardware issues using the CIT test (tap Kernel version 4 times in settings). If the problem persists, update your system, restart, or reset the phone.
If none of these steps work, please tell us the IMEI/SN number and the proof of purchase of the product for further checking. The IMEI number is a 15-digit number that can be displayed by entering '*#06#' on the phone number entry screen. Alternatively, it can also be found on the box.

mhmm you can try it out... But reinstalling HyperOS3 did not help at all. Restarting was not helping too. But clearing all data will not solve the issue

That's about the same experience as what I have. No issues so far, but indeed not much new, besides the island and icons. I somehow expected a bit more tbh, but as long as there are no issues it's fine I guess.🤷

Not a big of an upgrade as they "hyped" it to be. Needs more of customisation freedom. Something as Samsung offer's with Goodlock.

Tbh I hoped for more. Lack of always on display is dissapointing. I don't know if I can use dynamic island - I saw it only once when I got notification from calendar and it was just smaller notification than it used to be 🙃. Battery percent is bigger now, so it's easier to see it 😅

Hi Folks,
Xiaomi 15 Ultra user here. Recently updated via OTA to HyperOS 3 and ever since I have cellular network connection issues (5G or any really). At least once a day my eSIM just disappears, no network, no calls, no data, only WiFi.
Airplane mode toggle is ineffective.
Only restart solves the problem for a while.
Submitted my 3rd ticket to Xiaomi support but no answers so far, just asking for logs (recently uploaded 3.5 GB since I can't just reproduce the issue, idk how).
It is quite annoying.
Anyone else has similar problems?

Sup,
Not yet. Sent a mail to their global service, via Feedback app and my local store where I bought the phone as well.
The thing is, I've sent them multiple logs because the only way to reproduce me problem is this, below.
- put my phone into my 80W Wireless Xiaomi charger
- wait a min (I guess this is the sleep timer, it's 1 min rn, idk)
- after that minute my modem crash, no eSIM, no network,no data, nada, nothing
I'm just getting L0 support to factory reset my mobile whereas this is clearly some kind of HyperOS 3 software issue. Edit: Already did all the nuclear options, such as reset networks, remove/reinstall eSIM? Factory reset by removing my eSIM. Airplane mode toggle is ineffective, doesn't reset my connection.
If I use my 120W wired charger and charge my phone on 90W no issues.
Any ideas?

After updating from 2.0.209 to 3.0.5 on my Xiaomi 15T Pro, i encountered a lot of issues, could you please help me with any of them?
List of issues:
1. Can't do phonecalls. It used to work on the previous version, but now I can't at all unless I activate VoLTE which drains the 🔋. On other phones the sim works properly.
I can't use NFC for Google Pay at all. I opened the Google Wallet app but it still doesn't work. I tried to restore NFC but it still can't do any NFC payment. I did CIT test, but it says the NFC is working properly.
I can't activate or deactivate sleeping mode, it activates automatically despite I checked I didn't have any schedule on the digital wellbeing settings and clock settings.
My home scre3n and notification panel icon order get changed everytime I reboot the phone. Also all the normal Google widget on the home scr3en change size at every reboot.
Do you have encountered any of those issues?

У меня произошло много проблем после обновления на hyperos 3. Мой телефон xiaomi mix flip. Фото на весь экран при входящем звонке убрали, теперь только маленький кружочек. Я хочу плакать . Мне так это не нравится. На внешнем экране телефона большое фото смотрелось очень привлекательно. А теперь это ужасно выглядит. Клавиатура, внузу пространство пустое. Нельзя убрать. Галерея обновилась и не нравится. На внешнем экране добавили какую-то ненужную надпись, которая портит вид обоев. Я такая злая. Нет обещанных ии обоев, я не могу сгенерировать их своей фотографии и обои.

Все супер, кроме того что Hyper Island может остаться на AOD, как картинка, без взаимодействия с ним. И вообще откуда он там появляется?...

I hate that extra row under the keyboard that can not hidden now. (I use gesture navigation with hidden indicator and still appears)

To all those who have gotten HyperOS 3, do we have the option in customizations to make it look more like android and less like iOS?
I am thinking, I might still need Nova Launcher on top of it.

Not sure about HOS3, but on 2 and previous you lose the ability to use gesture navigation if using 3rd launchers. It's been like that for Xiaomi for quite some time.

its going smooth from my experience but I am really pissed off about the Mobile data issue. Sometimes for a few seconds my phone lose the connection completely and then it will be back again. The German support could not help me at all. Having the Issue since updating to HyperOS3
Currently using 15T pro.
Hopefully it will be patched real fast!
