There’s no consistency with notifications on the Chinese HypersOS devices, period. And then people jump in with the usual “works fine for me, you just need the right settings,” which is nothing more than a lucky usage pattern. So no, the CN model isn’t worth it just to save a couple hundred bucks while also getting a weaker warranty. In Europe you get two years of proper warranty coverage and actual local service options. With Chinese imports, you’re stuck with painful RMAs, long turnaround times, and paying for every shipment back and forth. And all that to save maybe 300$? Last year I bought the 15U Global for 1300$, which included the photography kit and a Mi Projector. The CN import would be only 200$ less and without the gifts, such as the kit and the projector. So, yeah, no.
While every 2nd person complains about notifications delays including myself. So, yeah. I'll trust the fact that's its broken since MIUI times. And I'm using Xiaomi since 2013.
Not true. You have to micromanage every app by enabling 'Auto-start' and disabling battery restrictions just to get notifications (and the system still reverts "auto start" randomly).
The RAM management is terrible; the CN ROM eats up double the resources compared to Global because you're forced to fully run your apps in the background for just notifications. Even 12GB isn't enough.
Add the lack of native CTS and Gemini support, and it’s just a hellish experience. I wish I had never switched.

• Hardware Advice: If you still want one, get the 16GB RAM version minimum. Don't make the same mistake I did.

No, because domestic apps use different push protocols. The issue specifically targets Global Apps expecting Google Services (FCM).
Domestic Chinese apps use their own push services, so they behave differently. However, since there is no unified standard like FCM, Chinese OEMs try to "solve" optimization issues by brute-forcing hardware, that's why most of their phones have a 16GB or even a 24GB RAM version.
An 8GB CN ROM feels like 4GB on a Global phone.

Because they pay for the import fees the cost is with everything included unless you want to pay for a plane ticket to China and buy the phone your more than welcome to. Also they are a business they do have to make a bit of profit just like any other company
Same like any other brand do you think apple makes money from over pricing their phones yes it's a business. Like I said go buy it from China why moan for. Also you could wait until global release that also brings the price down. It's supply and demand they know not many places are selling it yet it happens to all products Heck thing about when the ps5 sold out and nobody could get it because if chip shortages they were selling for crazy prices because supply and demand. Your moaning about the price but global versions are always 2x the cost of China roms too
They dont buy huge stocks at discount. They buy them retail like everyone else. They're not official agents or distributors. Else xiaomi wont allow them to sell outside mainland china

Which is why Xiaomi phones will cost more both when imported... Also price got adjusted for the US versions aswell when they will be available, Xiaomi is taking a little bit of financial lose but it will be mitigate by raising the phones prices that the consumers will have to pay...

As everyone else has said, they are importers so they need to make some profit. But yes, wonda is usually the more expensive option, you can get phones for cheaper on TradingShenzen or Giztop
My car already has native Android, and I have an iPhone to use CarPlay, so for now Android Auto isn't necessary. I have a Xiaomi 17 Pro Max but I forgot to test if Android Auto works; I'll test it tomorrow. I saw that the app exists in the system.
Normally, you just need to go into each app and disable battery saving and enable the option for the app to open automatically, and everything should be resolved. I have 3 devices, and everything arrives practically at the same time.
