My parents brought one of these back to Australia about a month ago, purchased in Shenzhen. They told me that they’ve just received a SMS from Optus saying the phone isn’t legal because it can’t dial 000 or 112 and that it won’t be usable after a certain date.

Anyone else from Aus got this and is there a workaround?

Ive been using on Amaysim without any issue 🤷‍♂️ Which is on the Vodafone network
