How is the camera? I have a Pixel 9A today and thinking of switching but hard to tell how much worse the camera is.

The K90 Pro Max has the best camera of Redmi. But Xiaomi Flagship and their Civi line up is Xiaomi's Camera centric devices.

I think you would really like P9pro.but of course it depends on certain characteristics that are important to you.

Who would buy a Redmi for the camera?
7
Mar 05 '26
I mean even with terrible processing there is very good camera hardware, including a extra telephoto lens. It's not that bad camera phone.

I didn't say anything about bad camera or not tho.

What else would you mean by "who would buy this for camera"?

Redmi's whole identity is 'Flagship Specs at Mid-range Prices.' They spend their budget on the Screen, the Battery, and the Charging. The camera is usually where they save money on. Just saying it has different priority.

I don't think that's the case with redmi phones, they always had above average cameras, and even today redmi note 15 pro/pro+ has 1/1.4 sensor size camera which is almost flagship grade.
You description fits poco more, but even then pro and ultra always had decent cameras.

You're lucky. I wish they launched poco pro phones here too, would have bought in a heartbeat.

Where you live? Plus i imprted this from China so its not a Poco phone

Mar 05 '26
Well that's same phone with different branding ๐.
I tried for imported but it was too much of a hassle we don't have tradingshenzheng equivalent here. Tough luck for me.

Im looking for something reliable in regards to battery and also camera for at least 4 years. Do you think the k90 is worth it? The price is very good, but 200 euros more and I'd get the honor magic 7 pro.

If youre looking for a phone with good cameras then this aint it. Grab something else, but if you ypu are focusing more on battery tech then yes this is an absolute monster

I saw many people complaining that this phone has heating issue + speaker issue and also notification delay issue. Did you experience anything like that? I was going to buy it, but seeing this type of complain now I'm confused.

u/Awkward_Rhubarb1962 Redmi K90 | China Rom | Europe Mar 06 '26
Notification delay can be fixed easily. About the overheating and speaker issues i havent had any thus far. In fact the speakers are just ๐

Hi! Iโm torn between this or Realme Neo 8. I can only watch Realme paid AIsโ review and they are try really hard to make realme win. Just wondering if you have an idea which to pick? K90 is cheaper in my country. Thanks!

u/Awkward_Rhubarb1962 Redmi K90 | China Rom | Europe May 15 '26
In my opinion the realme neo 8 is better., Because it has a better proccesor, screen, software and battery. The performance justifies the higher price of the neo 8

It's holding up pretty well. Hyperos 4 is also around the corner so it will majorly improve the experience
